Thanks for the update, DinkAlot. I think I'll try out the Krakal PU Supergrip soon, because I know a shop nearby which sells them.
Any UK/US sellers have the Wilson X-tra Tack? Try as I might, I can't find these anywhere in the UK without incurring a ludicrous postage charge ($10... for a bloody pack of grips weighing 2 ounces?!?!). As such, do any of you guys fancy selling me some? I can pay in $US via Paypal if you're of the colonies. Many thanks, M.
Rapid repairs is one place that carries the X-tra tack in the UK. http://www.rapidrepair.biz/rr-shop/index.html I think shipping is free (I've not ordered from them before, as I still have a lot of grips to go through, so can't tell you for sure), but minimum order is £10. Give it a go and let us know if shipping is free =)!
I have also something to say about one grip - I played 4 times now with Karakal Nano 60 grip and it is unbelievable! Durable, tack and dry! What else to wish... I used before Pointfore (really good, but in a time it can loose tackiness) and Pacific original (fine in first few minutes but completely useless after ~few games). And yes, choose WHITE grip - one guy told me that coloured grips are a little less tacky because of the chemicals which are used to coloure them. I used orange and white Karakal Nano 60 grip and I could say that white is more tacky. However, my rating for Karakal Nano 60: 10/10!
I've tried the Karakal PU Supergrip on my AT700. heck, it's so tacky and coushion'y I dont want to let go of it. Only bad-side, it makes my AT700 rather head-light.
i understand that the Yonex SuperGrap is not very durable. but then when it is priced at US$27.00 for 30. even after shipping, i m still saving lots. i m changing it frequently. at the end, i think it beats all the grip for me because it's superbly cost effective. even if i change it every 3-4 weeks, it's super cheap! it's tackyness is just right in both wet/dry hands. xtra tac is super tacky, but it slips when my hands got really wet. Karakal's replacement grip has the absolute best tackiness feel i've ever tried, but i prefer A440's thickness. i m using the white supergraps.
has anyone tried the Yonex Ti 1000 or 2000 or 3000 grips? I see them on mybadmintonstore and i'm not sure if i want to buy one or not, as of NOW i kinda want one cuz I'm using the Gamma Supreme, and it's too thick for me (I use about a little more than half the grip) and it's realllllly sticky.
I went looking for some overgrips and came across some that are not on the list? They were black knight ones that came in orange, black and white.
Can anyone verify these are any good? Site with Black Knight Grips: http://www.blackknight.ca/en/products.php?id=78
I've seen that being sold around in Japan before. Wasnt really tacky IMO, when I tried a fellow club member's racquet with this grip.
got it at my regular shop-badminton-things. also whack 2 t-shirts(yonex). the boss still reluctant to sell me things.... tried it last nite........ other than lack of tackiness, everything else seem fine. compare to my regular overgrip, kimony 100 1. lack of tack 2. not value for money 3. softer than kimony
Does anyone know where I can find RSL overgrip? I found them at SGVBC 2 years ago and i finally used up all of my RSL grips. I went back to SGVBC a few day ago and they only sell Yonex now.
im using PU karakal..first time i try it...when my wrist wet, the grip really slippery...my racket almost fly away...i did apply karakal grip powder too..
What a grip Hey DinkALot, Did you use the Whatagrip regular or thick grip? I bought the thick but now I'm worried that it will be too thick :crying: Are we allowed to plug vendors? I found a site that has lots of tennis grips and free shipping (unlike the $5-9 most other sites were charging). They shipping my grip quite quickly.
If you buy about 70 of them you can get free shipping from squashgear.com (have to pass $199 to get free shipping to Canada) They have the PU Supergrip and Point 75 but not the Nano 60. Go find some friends
