You sure never move any support out after the frame been tension until it done. Now your frame look around on the top.
Like Fidget says, you need to make adjustments before the stringing process even begins such that your side supports do not block critical shared grommets.
Does it matter whether you start weaving your crossesup then down or down then up? I can't find the answer online...
some ppl like to do TD, some do BU. it doesn't matter. make sure you tighten the side support and never loosen it before you start the crosses.
I'm almost finished with my crosses but I followed the way the diagram said to do it instead of the way you did it in your video. Why does it say to string from the top of the racket to the bottom while you string bottom to top of the racket? Thanks
Wilson pro knot will do for both of your knots since you did not pull tension directly on them. If you ever stop using a starting clamp to tension the first crosses, use this knot (for the bottom one): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UT1cXy-6Wz0 And Wilson pro knot for the other one.
looks ok. except you misweaved the 6th/7th cross string from the top. but that's very normal when you are just starting. next time you will have more time to pay attention to these details!
Aha thanks for pointing it out! I plan on practicing a couple more times before I tie it off unless thats a bad idea?
Why is it that the diagram you posted shows to go top to bottom of the racket but in your video, you did bottom to top on the racket Sorry if that didn't make any sense
Because yonex used to have their stringing instructions TD. If you watch any recent catalogues, they all start from the bottom http://www.yonex.com/badminton/webcatalog2012/#page=38
Do a misweave check every six crosses - this way you will only have to go back a maximum of six if you mess up. Look along the diagonals from the top of the racket and you'll clock any misweaves straight away.
I have another question: 1. When stringing crosses, should it be 2lbs higher than your mains? I see people posting tension status as 22x24 or something like that. Does this mean I need to string crosses higher than mains? Thanks
depends on the machine/side supports for instance, I know that kwun used to have it the same tension on mains and crosses, so assuming you mount it the same way, you will not have to add anything on the crosses. best way is to test it... measure the racquet before and after stringing; you want to aim for 1mm shorter/longer max. I also have an Alpha Shuttle Express and I do same tension on mains and crosses.
Just finished tying off my cross. Hopefully hitting with it won't turn out badly Will test it out tomorrow at my training :d thanks for the help everyone
