i think canada came in the middle of the pack. Sweden and russia came in with the least stress due to money concern. For the russians, alcohol prolly took care of their money stress problem
If at first you don't succeed; try, try and try again . It's always easy to criticize. It's not easy to know which is the best way to go. IMHO, the warning from BAM given to HH and KBH has done little good for the MAS team overall. It goes back to the well-known saying - "If at first you don't succeed; try, try and try again". .
That is so very true of course...what the saying meant is if at first you don't succeed, try something else (like rojak, chau kwai teow) other than badminton, and if fail in new venture, try something else and if fail...." After so many chances to try, I guess it is time to move on and let's other brave souls have their turn....if they are lucky and succeed, then another LD or LDCW is born, if not be prepared to be abused, hecked, stoned, crucified, bashed in BC Forum...hahaha!!
As for that 'saying'; If at first you don't succeed; try, try and try again , in my opinion before we jump into it, we need to look at the bigger picture first. And the bigger picture is our badminton organisation/management as a whole. As long as those heading BAM is more concern about pleasing some politicians & their yes men, we can try a million times, we will still be lost. It will only be more money spent and more money into the pockets of certain officials and etc. Just like our football, our national team can try, try and try again ... do you seriously think we can meet the standards of Japan/Korea let alone beat Thailand & Vietnam or Indonesia in the Asean region? As long as the administration is wishy washy (like BAM), we can try, try and try again till every single cow is home ... we are still going to find ourselves heading nowhere. Back to HH & KBH, honestly I think BAM made a big mistake in serving them a warning. Yes, the warning have done little to both of them and the MAS badminton team. In the first place, both of them should have been dropped ages ago. They are simply not good enough. You cant just take a Proton Saga to compete in the international circuit. China, Denmark, S Korea & Indonesia ... they are all badminton contenders. If HH/KBH are shuttlers from these nations, do you think they will be dropped ages ago? I would say yes. I believe the TC is next year, in KL. And if we have HH/KBH in our squad it just shows that we have not made any progress. We are seriously handicapped when it comes to competing against the big boys. Our management in BAM is at best poor, our juniors are substandard in quality and we have some serious deadwoods coupled with some big time Charlies and one mentally weak WR#1 shuttler in our senior squad. .... but we can try, try, try and try some more while the big boys win all the trophies.

Dont know how many times HH have been 'reborn'? We can continue to keep on hoping but realistically, you aint go to achieve anything with a product that is defective or substandard. HH should have been put to sleep when it comes to his badminton career like 5 years ago.

Where got justice? Systems suck...BIG TIME. There is this case of a boy - trained hard everyday, came out tops at the annual schools state championship in singles. Next target…the national schools championship. Thought that by virtue of that win, he qualified to fill up the singles slot in his state's team for the national's...but….that’s not the case. His state's singles slots were all reserved for BJSS players. They will be called back to represent their state. Reason given was "we can’t afford not to field the best to win a medal for our state". Result: Journey ends for the boy. A victim of the system? YOU BET! A once in a year opportunity...missed.... Another year went by....a year older.
Thats why, they know they are many talented player, but they dont do any reinforcement of the system. Too bad....
