tacky is correct, that's the way they are. however, this N80 is the first racket in the Li Ning line that i actually LOVE!!!
well i use the N90 but i need something that will cut through the air but will still give me power the only thing that interests me about the N36 is the air stream system II otherwise i would buy the N80.
Brought the N80 a couple of days ago and it just arrived today, came with 28lbs 66um and i must say that it looks so shiny and beautiful not dull like most of the other Li-Ning rackets. The BP i measured at 297mm and the only strange thing i have to mention is its total weight which is 92g which seems to be quite light considering my Li-ning N50 is 102g. Havent had a chance to play with it yet but i gave it a swing through the air and it had the same crisp feel and sound as my MX80. The sound is alot higher pitched compared to me swinging my Z-Slash or N50. Will be testing the N80 out in a few days and will let you know.
I hope you enjoy the racket like I did, when I tested the racket for a few minutes Did you happen to buy it from directbadminton/ directsports ?
Yeah it was from directsports £144 with free next day delivery (took 2 days as they didnt post it till the following day) also free restring up to 28lbs and free yonex grip packet. Grip size S2, i did see that it said 92g on their website but i thought that ment without string / grip ^^ Ah well i might prefer it being lighter for doubles play
you wont regret it mate..finally i got my N80 yesterday..never had a chance to play in game with it yet,but already had few swings at d back of my house.. before i bought it,ive tested N90,N36,N55II, and N50II in the same shop..managed to swing few times all those rackets, and finally decided to buy N80..to compare N80 with all my other rackets, here is d summary.. this racket is less stiff than my vfzf-ltd,mx80 or my NS9900..the head heaviness is in between VTZF-ltd and MX80(VTZF-LTD<N80<MX80<NS9900)..the swing speed is d fastest among all my rackets. by d way, this is IMHO..may be different with others..hope this could help u mate!
Yeah MX80 is not partically head heavy its just pretty damn stiff i also compared it to my MX80 and N50 and the N80 is more HH
I borrowed a N80. It absolutely feels similar to BS LYD. Head heavy, but absolutely fast in swinging speed. I can't notice the head heaviness during the game. It feels solid, it feels fast, but it also lacks a little bit of power. I'm surprised that Xu Chen replaced N55-II with N80. He should have the arm power, so why changing to a faster racket with less oomph? I'm still testing. But I'm pretty sure it will be my double racket if I'm really going to buy it. My main racket N55 still supports me better in smashing and especially clearing in singles. No wonder Jan Ø. Jørgensen switched back from N80 to his old racket. In my opinion it's definitively a doubles racket.
Indeed i have, i'm just not in the review mood atm give me a while and i might think about it One thing i can say is that its super quick! You almost don't notice that its head heavy apart from the steep fast smashes
