A bit O/T, but have a look at the string break at 12:13 in the Srikanth match - I could swear he broke them twice!
I watch Tago play with it and also Camilla Juhl (Christinna Pedersen's partner) and can't believe how small the head of the racket is. Also Tago doesn't seem to be entirely happy with the racket...
So much negativity just like ArcFB first release But when Ahsan able to utilize it well, some are impressed and some doubt it to be an FB hahaha
yup.. thats what i think so too.. the weight feels concentrated closer to the t-joint to me, unlike in the similar head weight class, the vtzf/vt80 feels like the weight is concentrated towards the top of the frame.
Finally got this much anticipated racket (3U). Got it for 1 week and played 2 times total 5 hours. It is a very solid and stiff racket. I won't say that it is HH, but rather it is quite balanced. The first thing I have to talk about must be the smash! Yes, smashing is a joy with this racket, I can smash faster shots and I got more out-right smash winners. I think it is because of both the stiffness and the very well designed aerodynamics. With less air resistance, the racket really acelerates well throughout the stroke. I remember seeing one previous post here saying that it's like a turbo car with turbo kicking in, agree. The stiffness allows most of the power going directly to the shuttle. The head size is smaller and I got more mis-hits during the first time I used it. A bit frustrated that night. But today when I used it again, it seems that I have got used to the smaller head-size/sweet spots. I got less mis-hits, probably similar to what I used to have. Defence, net play and serve , it performs reasonably well. Overall, I'm very satisfied and my VT80 will stay in my bag for a while. If you are a hard-smash offensive player, yes highly recommended. The smaller head size should not be a big problem for most imtermediate or advanced players. The smash winners should give you more points than what you lose from mis-hits.
Yes this racket is such a joy for smashing. When you pronate your arm, the racket just accelerate so much with very little drag kinda like ArcFB, but because the racket is heavier and solid, the momentum also help generating more force to the swing unlike ArcFB where you have rely solely on how fast you can pronate your arm. So I think it is the best of both worlds for smashing, for defense tho, it's definitely not as fast as ArcFB, but returning smashes to the base line is easier.
Is this racket as stiff or stiffer than vt80 and arc 10?How does it compare to bs 10 or gosen shiden or vt80 or even arcsaber 10 in terms of smash power, control and speed because i m a arc 10 user and want a upgrade to either a bs 10, shiden or a nanoray z speed
In that case, for all 3U stiffness: vt80>zsp>arc10 bp: vt80>zsp>arc10 speed: arc10>zsp>vt80 smash: zsp>vt80>arc10
Bs10 is gonna be faster, if you can smash harder with it depends solely on you. It's lighter, so you'll need a rather explosive movement to get a harder smash with it than with the Arc10.
But to me the vt80 seems the most flexi which i dont like. The arcsaber 10 stiffness is the best though something stiffer would be better. Will bs10 be more flexi than nrzspeed ?
zsp is way flexier, almost feels like vt70 with more bp... so i can already guarantee you'll hate it bs10 is quite stiff and lower bp, so as j4ckie says you'll need good technique and timing as it's less forgiving perhaps a 4u vtzf would be good for you... stiffer than vt80 and only around 83g 310mm dry, so lighter more maneuverable than 3u vt80 or 3u arc10, but still good oomph for smashing
I wonder how many people who bought the 3u Z-Force, if you gave them a 4u to try now they'd go "Damn, I bought the wrong one"?
