Racquet feels great..good all around..so far i havent found the power vetter than my other victor racquets. It will probably become my go to.
$179USD is not bad. from local badminton stores in the bay area in california, high end rackets are all over $200USD.
Just couldn't resist and wait for the local shipment to arrive at the end of the month so I just ordered from MBS via EMS
Which will probably be cheaper than your local fare anyway At least that's how it's gonna play out here....
Ah that might explain it. Considering that it's shaft flex is really similar to the BS 12 you probably have to readjust your technique to more of a whipping style to get the power out of it. It's definitely not a racket for wrist smashing like the 70 and JJS
Its really annoying..because for every other shot i find this racquet perfect..but i love smashing and want to get as much power as i can. It doesnt help that ive broken the strings 3 times alread and havent got any sustained use out of it haha. Ive never broken strings like this before..and im only stringing around 2526. I think the racquet is just crazy fast and with the flex im mis timing shots.
Cant wait to get this. Been using F9 now and wouldnt mind lil extra weight on the head. Hope this is whippier...
I guess you can try to imagine tw different styles of hitting: - You hit the shuttle, putting power into it as it 'meets' your racket. - You flex your racket before the shuttle hits, relying on the unflexing racket to generate power. Of course, nobody ever gets to one of those extremes; you use a bit of both in your stroke. Those closer to the second would have a 'whipping style'.
Coming off a BS 12. This is a bloody powerful racket Still missing the sweet spot since I just picked it up for games tonight. But once I started smashing with it. I couldn't stop. Wasn't even bothered to drop. Just kept going for the smash over and over again!
The TK-8000 is similar to the Voltric 70, right? Perhaps, engineered differently (in terms of material).
