just received a tantrum 200 from Apacs Sport. Claim my broken stern 200 with apacs and get the replacement racket by today, it is my first tantrum 200 and now i cant wait to string it and try it!
Just got my Apacs Nano Fusion Speed 722 re-strung with Yonex BG 6 at 28lbs. Previously strung with Apacs Stern 66 string at 27lbs, which I didn't quite like. Now it's even more lethal for quick exchanges and net play. I think it's an extremely good racket that'll force you to learn to relax the wrist for precision shots. After having a few swings getting the feel of the racket, my 72 year old uncle has decided to get one and get back into playing badminton. hahahaha!!!
My Apacs Nano Fusion Speed 722. Had the original grip taken off before putting on the replacement, for extra thin feel, and head heavy feeling. Suits tiny feminine hands like mine. String is Yonex BG6 at 28lbs, made in China, soft-feeling, not very durable, broke it after just 4 sessions, a fatal mishit may have contributed to it. The string tension drops 5-10% by the end of the first week before stabilizing.
I'm looking for Amp 95..Just clashed mine few weeks ago and did try Lethal and VH series including the Amp 101,but nothing like Amp 95.So,does anyone has an Amp 95 not being used.Or perhaps if anyone can suggest a racket similar to it.
I think I tried it but not the same. There are perhaps better rackets out there, its just that amp 95 has really struck a chord with me.
try yonex voltric 80. amp 95 already out of production for many years, so hard to find it even though in malaysia.
i think you may consider Apacs Slayer 99 or Lethal 90 because Tan Bin Sen or Gan Teik Chai has changed to this racket.
Nightbird, I understand your feeling, i also looking hard for amp95, mine one won't last aft many years "tortures". I had T200 which many said the APACS best racket but i thk AMP95 is the best for me/us. I try ask APACS to give similars model like AMP95, hope got reply soon.
The direct replacement for amp 95 is amp 101,but Kam from Apacs Canada did say that slayer 88 is very close.Perhaps you can try one out.
I think I'm gonna try Slayer 88 or 99 as Kam from Apacs Canada had also suggested so.I'm gonna see him later today and hopefully he'll have a demo for me.
Hi all, I'm coming back into badminton after 5 years - used to play for regional team in Northern Ireland, and am dying to get back into the swing of things. I have 2 apacs rackets on their way to me: The Finapi 88 and the Lethal 9. Do you guys have any experience with these? I figure there's no point in me spending huge amounts on a top-end yonex piece just yet until I get my confidence and form back - although from what I hear there apacs rackets can really give big brands a run for their money!? really looking forward to trying them out.
Hello guys, I'm embarking on a small research project to compare APACS and Yonex rackets and see for myself how different they can be or if the APACS even trump their over-charged compatriots. It's a huge community of APACS fans here, and I'd like to pick your brains on justifiable comaprisons to the Yonex rackets. I'd like to ask for suggestions to APACS rackets to as close a comparison as possible to: Yonex Nanospeed 9900 (Head Light) Yonex ArcSaber Z-Slash (Even-Balanced) Yonex Voltric 80 / Z-Force (Heavy Heavy) All comments welcome, and apologies for not taking enough time to read through the extensive amount of material available here.
Yonex Nanospeed 9900 --> Apacs Tantrum 200 (Head Light - Stiff) Yonex ArcSaber Z-Slash --> Apacs Lethal 110 Voltric 80/Z-Force --> Apacs Lethal 70 (Head heavy, extra stiff)
vh1800 = there are vh1800 2nd gen in the market, and i currently have one. vh2000 = latest model of VH series. t500 = latest model of tantrum series, just came into the market last year. i don't think tantrum series will have new models in this year, but maybe VH series will have some.
Good day all My wife and I need new racquets. Here in Russia we have a bad situation with the assortment of racquets, so the most cost-effective option for us - buy through ebay. The cheapest options - apacs and a couple of models from wilson In fact, we can purchase for $ 100 - $ 10 for a pair the following models: edgesaber 10, edgesaber 9, edgesaber z slayer, nano 9900, nano tubes 9990, finapi 88, foray 300, lethal 6, lethal 9, lethal 10 (and Wilson K Dyna PX 3000, Wilson K8) We're playing at the Intermediate level, 22-24lbs string tension. Not really prefer head-heavy. What should we choose? Thank you very much
