Well, it is always easier to gauge the height (when near the subject) than the weight. Besides, weight is a closely guarded piece of info (the sponsors minds as well as the individual.). Can't just quip: I figure you are about 178.5 cm tall, mind telling me how much heftier are you now than a few months ago (I imagine a left and right slap in the face, perhaps a groin kick then a head smash?)?

Asian Games 2010: Wang Yihan is out?

According to an interview with LYB yesterday, the interviwer asked LYB about the changes of players in the future.

LYB said:"We will surely won't let WYH to compete in the Asian Games 2010. But these players (including WYH) will still be giving the same chances to participate in the coming international tournaments."

    Source: http://sports.sina.com.cn/o/2010-08-29/15105173488.shtml

How hurt if WYH saw this? :( But, she should learn from this lesson.

I am curious IF WYH won two or three SS titles later (any other three), and she still remain as the world no 1 until 1 week before the AG2010 begins, will LYB change his mind? I just say IF (I know with her current condition it is hard for her to get 2 or 3 titles later this year).

Looks like Yihan may not included as AG squad member despite LYB mentioned will give her another chance same with other WS player.

And we'll see whether IF condition will be happened or not ;)

Wang Shixian is why! On the otherhand, LYB is just playing mind games, he just wanted to flick that switch on (not flickering).

    Master LYB's challenge to WYH??..

..what a revelation..but then again, we know master LYB loves to play words with the media (and maybe his players)..maybe it's all a motivational & psychological talk from him in hope to lit up that fire in WYH's belly..

If i were WYH, i could take those comments as:
    - Negative: will sulk and really affect her mind/mental negatively.
    or
    - Positive: take those words as a challenge and start winning again to prove to master LYB and say "hey, i can and will change your mind and i will make the AG squad!"..

Perhaps Wang Yihan should just drop dead on LYB when she gets the call and then promptly jump ship and play under another flag while still very young (some gets discarded anyway when so why not do it in her terms?)! Suspect she is probably being culled by some foreign scouts (Denmark? Oh Canada?).

LYB is a joke (with everyone utterance he makes...SSDD), he should be spelunking (talk to the bats perhaps) instead of coaching and getting into his charges mind.

WYH still has a chance at the AG2010?

At local time 1425, China team had arrived at the Beijing Capital International Airport. ZN was asked by the reporter whether is it true that WYH will be excluded from the AG2010.

The answer given by ZN: "No, the news is not true, we still haven't decided who will be sent to play at the AG2010."

..the clue was when LYB added the "But these players (including WYH) will still be giving the same chances to participate in the coming international tournaments."...that in and of itself gives me a clue that anything and his mind can still change..

Wang Yihan is the World No.1 WS

    .
I shall be hell 'shocked', if Wang Yihan is to be left out from the CHN team.

Wang Yihan is our World No.1 WS (Let's remind everyone, including LYB). :):):)

She should just bolt and leave the mess to LYB, see how is he going to upgrade or downgrade his lowly psych babble.

Today's young players are smart and they have proper ''out of the box'' mentoring. Consultants too comes in pretty handy.

I guess Yihan's chance to be one of China AG squad-member is pretty slim due her poor performance at WC plus failed to won any title in this year thus far despite her WR still #1 until now. Looks like both Wang Lin & Wang Xin secure their place in AG squad.
