    The Moon Represents My Heart (by Teresa Teng)

    .
    This is one of the greatest songs, The Moon Represents My Heart (by Teresa Teng).

    Over the last 7 hours, this song kept playing, and replaying, and replaying in my mind. :):):)

    For BCers who don't understand Mandarin, click on this YouTube for English lyrics;

    The Moon Represents My Heart (Kenny G's saxophone)

    .
    For BCers wishing to feel the mood of this song (without words), listen to Kenny G's saxophone.

    It's simply beautiful; Bringing tears of joy to my eyes when I listen to it;

    The Joy of Life

    .
    Another Kenny G's saxophone that I like; It's the "The Joy of Life". :):):)

    It just makes me want to get up from sitting still on a chair to move about, like walking, running, etc......

    Funny isn't it? Music and songs can affect our mood.

    BTW, "The Joy of Life" is in YouTube. Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_vtLRnXNlY&feature=related

    Karaoke in a Guangzhou open-air public park

    I was in Guangzhou for the Asian Games recently and was surprised to witness a sprightly group of mainly senior citizens and mostly ladies, singing in the open park just opposite our hotel.

    Just below a huge tree with spreading branches, was a giant iron wire stand holding flip sheets with numeric scores and lyrics in Chinese to assist in the singing. The male music leader was on hand to guide his friends and some of them led with mikes while others join in to sing unabashedly. It was a joy to behold karaoke singing in the park. :)

    BTW I recently learned that singing, especially with the head tone, helps to delay the onset of dementia for senior citizens.

    My friend, you have an extra 'la'. Try to sing it out.
    The last two "la"s should have two beats, i.e. one beat longer than the previous "la"s.

    Hope you get it lah! :D

    Just by tapping our fingers on the table, we will get to find out how many "la"s there are.
