If your confused, stay away from the Ultra 1. If you are beginner to intermediate, try out the Trinity or Trinity 2, if you have a strong strong arm/wrist, and like heavier rackets, try Ultra 2.
Nice try, Panda gives you an "A-". Ultra 1 (U1): very demanding and stiff. Think first generation 2U graphite rackets demanding. Designed not to break for heavy hitters. Ultra 2 (U2): much less demanding. Still designed not to break but faster transitioning much more forgiving than the U1. For heavy hitters. Still a relative beast but a much friendlier beast. Trinity 1 (T1): for all levels, beginner through advanced. Still very stiff but less stiff than the U1 and U2. Moderately balanced, very good head speed.
Hi Bro DinkAlot : I am looking for a racket that is comparable to my armotec 700 old color, which specs: extra stiff & head heavy... .. which racket is suitable.. thanks!
Initial impression U2 (The band ) Compared to the ZELM Trixon8 and APACS Lethal 60 Length Longer than the L60 by 2-3mm but shorter than T8 by similar amount. (Longest > Shortest) T8 > U2 > L60 Handle Shorter than both T8 and L60 by about 5-6mm. Frame and grommets U2 frame is wider than the T8 but very similar to L60. Grommets are better spread out. The L60 is horrible with uneven cross distances. I think different cross distance will change the placement and size of the sweetspot. The stringbed should react differently. Whether it is good to be evenly distributed or not, I have no idea. My old YY Carbonex 21SP has evenly distributed crosses and it feels nice. Maybe it is a manufacturing/design overlook on APACS side . Stiffness Definitely the T8 is the least stiff. L60 feels stiffer. Shaft itself feels the same but during the bend test (very subjective), U2 feels less stiff. I think it's because of the longer shaft (ie shorter handle) making it bend more. Hmmmm... I wonder if the U1 handle is the same size. (Most > Least) L60 > U2 > T8 Grip Very small grip with spongy APACS grip. Not so nice but can be replaced easily. Not the fault of manufacturer . Maybe I'll add an overgrip to make it bigger. Trying it out on Sunday. Wish me luck.
Aww only A-? So close... What'd I miss? Is it because I didn't go in depth with the Ultra 1 and said Trinity is only good for beginners/intermediate and forgot advanced?
Thanks, DinkAlot. Your response was much more useful to me than the other one. Based on this info, I'm tempted to try the T1, as I can no longer hit as much as I used to. My shoulder is aging fast.
Sorry about that SSTurbo, next time I'll write a longer response. That was done in between classes on my phone. But i do highly recommend all of them, they are all very good, some are just better suited than others for each individual. And how's this. I like his rackets so much that if you buy one, and don't like it, I'll buy it from you for full price if you want.
40 l/bs how long will if take for the string to break man it will be like playing baseball with a badminton racquet
Hi bro Dinkalot: Let's say compare Ultra 1 vs Zelm powerplay 10000 Vs Victor super wave 35 vs Yonex nanospeed 9900 vs Li ning N90 Above all 5 rackets: Which one best in terms stiffness & attacking play, control? Thanks!
I have only tried the U1 and NS9900. These two are completely different rackets. The U1 is stiffer, more head heavy, a heavy hitter racket. Think of the U1 as a stiffer, beefier version of the AT900P but less head heavy. The 9900 though stiff, is very head light. It's a counterattack racket. So, they are not really comparable. Both rackets are designed for different players and for different styles of play.
So bro , if i want a racket that is very very stiff, and head heavy racket, which one to choose and Ultra 1 got 2u ?
The U1 is among the Top 3 stiffest rackets currently made. It's head heavy but not extreme. The TC700 is the most demanding racket I have tried so far. The RSL X2Pro and U1 follow thereafter in no particular order.
