With 9200 additional point, surely Wang Shixian WR will be up in top-10 this week.

Whenever I see WSX's highly accurate skills, I think she should be from the Chinese Circus Team. Small and highly skilled.

    :)

she got an unbelievable good mentality and confidence...

down 14-19, 16-19 and 17-20 in SF and finals, and just kept calm and go on to win the matches...

    ^^It's partly..^^

..because of her opponents who collapsed also, esp. in the Semifinal Rd. (near end of 2nd game which almost forced a rubber game).

hmm, got a chance to watch wang yi han's vs wang shi xian in front of my eye just now.
WSX is just so pretty. Unfortunately she lost the match. From what i see, Wang yi han is in full top form that match, while WSX looks tired and fatigue though.

All England - Wang Shi Xian

In anticipation of the upcoming 100th All England Championships, I want to hype up Wang Shi Xian for the occasion.

The talented shuttler, who just turned 20 a few weeks ago, has already convincingly beat many higher ranked, more experienced players in her young career. Her ownage list is a long one, with the most impressive being Wang Yi Han, Wang Lin, Wang Xin, Lu Lan, and Tine Rasmussen. On the same note, the two shuttlers she has yet to defeat are 1) Saina Nehwal, who has not met WSX ever since their semifinal at the 2008 Junior World Championships, and 2) Jiang Yan Jiao, who has taken WSX down in straight sets at the 2009 HK Open SS and 2009 China Open SS. It looks to me that JYJ is WSX Achilles’s Heel at the moment. What is interesting is that the two are set to clash in the second round of the AE. When/If they do meet, I’d like to see how WSX counters JYJ’s deep corner clears that kept WSX from coming forward to the net all match long. Third time’s the charm? For now, let’s take a closer look at Wang Shi Xian's game.

Most notable for: court awareness, tumbling netshot, crosscourt netshot, crosscourt dropshot.
In a nutshell: A gritty player… Uses more finesse than power, is more methodical than explosive… Nevertheless, likes to end rallies quicker than classic defensive players… Netplay is poetry in motion… Creates more net cords from netshots than any other player, by far... Armed with a deadly slice anywhere within the doubles long service line… Has a knack for finding No Man’s Land… Nimble footwork… Mixes up tempo well enough to keep opponents guessing… Possesses the technique and reflexes to defend well too… Needs more power and consistency on clears… Struggles when pinned to the backcourt corners... Needs to improve stamina.
