I'm not suggesting Vivian to follow Amber mah... And how come everyone say Amber more lengcai? Name also Amber, and no matter how masculine her outfit, always look lenglui to me Daren's next. Can or not ah this guy?
YES! Alamsyah Yunus did it....22-20 in the rubber-set after a 79-mins battle and saving 1 match pt against Wei Nan! Yet another GPG SF for Alam after the Australia Open this year. You will need to have a stamina of a bull to outlast Alam. Most of the INA youngsters cannot even beat him.
This was what I wrote in the other thread right before the tourney: I am backing Alamsyah Yunus to do well this week. Here's Alam's list of opponents: R64 vs Victor Ong Jing Khai R32 vs (possibly) Tam Chun Hei R16 vs (possibly) Chan Kwong Beng QF vs (possibly) Hong Ji Hoon or Wei Nan or Derek Wong Zi Liang [15] SF vs (possibly) Daren Liew [3] or Chen Yuekun [9] So far, except for the opponents in R32, he has fulfilled my expectation and will face either Daren Liew or Chen Yuekun for a place in the Final. Another tough and long match should beckon tomorrow.

if only alam has a better power, he can be a good contender for top 15 at least... too bad, his power quite weak... i really love the way he play... great fighting spirit....
Agree 100%! Alam has always given his all in every match...unlike someone who is more talented than him, yet, almost always disappoint us Alam's highest rank was 17th. And he's on track to reach the top 30 once again and be eligible for the main draw of INA SSP. I think top 20 will be Alam's best target and I will always recognize his contribution to INA badminton, having won at least one GPG title (India) and several competitive ICs. Sadly, he's still almost unbeatable in Sirnas, having collected titles after titles (already 2 this year). We will also surely see him in the upcoming Jakarta & Bandung Opens (the two most prestigious and competitive Sirnas).
sometimes i feel pity for him when i watch him play... smash here and there, but the opponent can return it quite easily.... he is only 25/26 yo, right ? sirnas is a good way for him earning money outside pelatnas. hehe i think a player of his calibre, can still earn around 200-300 million rupiahs each year... he can show that there is a way for a badminton player to earn money ouside pelatnas... many times, many players give up easily after they got kicked out from cipayung
