Strung last week my MX80s with BG66UM at 28X30lbs. First day it was amazing and quite powerful but after a week it feels not as good as the first day. I will switch back to BG80. I think BG66UM holds tension not good.
If BG66 UM is fresh it performs very well. After 3 weeks it feels dull and dead. I think Victor VS850 and Head Super Power 67 are the worst strings in terms of durablitity which I ever tried.
I think I will give up using this string... though it feels good initially, but after the tension drop, it is basically just not good anymore...
It's not called 'Ultimax' for nothing! Ultimate repulsion......Ultimate feel.....followed by Ultimate tension drop and Ultimate s#!tiness. Still, the best string ever.
You might like the Nanogy 98 because it is similar to the BG66UM but there are a few differences... For me I didn't like the BG80 I don't even know why
I have tried using BG80 once and not quite like the hard feeling too.. but ppl say it needs some time for the string to settle to feel good... so I might wanna give it another chance. As for NG98, never try before. Hope it retains it tension much better than BG66U
Tension does drop a little but i feel it is a matter of the stringbed softening more than tension dropping. This is already a soft string and i m sure everyone knows even before the tension drops/string softens, the string goes dead in about 10 hours of play before it even starts fraying. A very good string but not economical for recreational players. Pros have no qualms as they string on every match.
