Have two strung at 24lbs using red BG66UM. Too whippy for me. Flexible and head heavy, I find it rather slow and it throws off my timing quite a bit. But when I do connect well, it launches bombs. When I miss, I get killed. Good racket overall, but not the specs I'm looking for.

You may like the MX-JJS then. Stiffer and a little head heavy!

Dear users... what are the string that you currently used for TK8000 besides BG66UM? I am using AP62+ now but found that is not so good... I wouldnt wish to use BG66UM though most of you using it because it losses tension really fast. Any thoughts?

I used VS-850 at 28x30lbs. Found it to be quite a great combo. Good blend of control and power. Only problem I have is I still cannot get the timing -.-

If anyone can compare, how does the TK 8000 differ between VT80?

Similar flex but for me it is better in defence, clears, power and speed!

I wonder why you find it similar flex with VT80 as I tot VT80 should be stiff flex...erm... Anyhow, I think you are the one who is really enjoying this racket right now... I am still trying to get used to it... haha

i had a different opinions with urs saying that the thruster had a similar flex charac..tic with the vt80...IMO the thurster has a higher flexibility than the vt80...way higher..i bought a thruster recently which i tot it should have serve me with the similar feeling like the vt80/ltd did but i found out that the tk flex too much compared to my vt80ltd...sold it . i couldnt drive well with tk like i did with my vt80ltd/zforce...(purely my experience).=)

Victor scale does not correspond to Yonex scale.
JJS is 4/5 on Victors stiffness scale but yet stiffer than Vt-80 which is considered stiff on the Yonex scale.
TK8000 is 3/5 on the Victor stiffness scale and yet it's the closest to my Vt-80.

So out of curiosity I measured both my Thrusters today.
#1 has a BP of 298mm - original plastic wrapper still on wrapped with Karakal .75mm overgrip
    #2 has a BP of 302mm - original grip

    Both strung with BG66UM.

In comparison, my Vt-80 is 310mm with a 1.7mm replacement grip on it strung with BG80P.

Wish I had measured my JJS. I may measure my Vt-ZF 88 later just to compare as well.

Will update when I get my BS12 and XP-70.

Any idea how much weight the original plastic on the grip adds? It's a double wrap of sorts!

If anyone can contribute, I want to know a comparison between the VT-ZF and TK-8000? What were your experiences with both rackets and how noticeable are the spec differences?
