i've got to buy a fake and try it out.

The actual cost is much higher actually...

b/c my wife was kinda pissed off starting at racquet #6, and we put together an agreement that each racquet I buy will result in a 200-dollar fine. :(

hahahahaha, a 200 buck levy on top of a 200 buck racquet?
i guess it's only fair, you should treat her as well if you're going to treat yourself.

tell you what you should do, buy her a new pair of shoes, and then ask her every time she buys another pair, 'aren't you happy with the shoes i bought you?', and see what she says.
    :p
then you can always use her excuse every time you get a new racquet.

Tell her a racket needs to represent ur closest mood and be wary when you use a red racket cuz she might get a good spanking =P (make sure u have a red racket in stock)

Even if she throws it away.. there's a chance that she'll buy a better one.
eg: she buys an at300 the first time. she is convinced that it's fake, then buys a real at900p from a very reputable shop.

This won't be useful in my case, since i was the one who's choosing the racket. If i said it was a fake, then she'll be really mad at me,after spending a 1000rmb for something fake..
