Mak Hee Chun/Tan Wee Kiong have been temporarily split up following communication problems between the two players. Chan Peng Soon is called to fill in the gap by partnering Tan Wee Kiong. Although Chan Peng Soon does not have power in his smash, I think that this might work out as CPS is faster around court compared to MHC. (As well as being more cincai :p)

Well, there goes CPS's wish to only concentrate in XD...

I thought CPS said he also would like to play MD? Personally, I think all the Msian guys prefer to MD compared to XD, less work on them ;)

If Mak & TWK confirm split, hehehe, I shall be waiting for Ah Teo to come back :D

Once I accidently switched on TV1 and watched them playing in a local tourney... To me, they are just bunch of small kids jumping here n there... no skills no consistency no strategy...

Ah Kiong will partner with CPS in the India Super Series. Considering that it is a Super Series, it might be a permanent pair. Ah Mak, Ah Teo's fate still uncertain, (one simply not playing up to par while the other knee injury) while Goh Wei Shem will partner Lim Khim Wah in the main time. Looks like the 'race between 3 pairs' have been all jumbled up!

See above. CPS will partner Ong JG, XD specialist with XD specialist. Mak still with TWK. GWS with LKW.

GWS will temporary partner LKW in smaller tourneys as TKH announced. CPS with TWK I suspect is also temporary, cos I dont see TWK's name in XD, he seems to have split with WKW.
Mak is sent to the NSI experts to beef up his physical condition, looking at how skinny Mak is I not surprised.

OK Listen guys ! I am Leeny. the girl who was on the press during Perak Open 2010.
I have seen what you all have been writing and I am not proud of saying. WHY NOT SUPPORT THEM INSTEAD OF CRITIcsize them. Yes Mak and Tan have some communication problems and thats why they fail in these recently tournaments ! They have the skills but what brings them down is their communication! Mak does not play during KL tournament, He is injured.

Pleasesupport instead of criticsize. at least give some confident. they are still young, beating world no.1 and smash into semifinals during MAS GP GOLD. I cant tell you how proud when I saw they beat them up. I was there. flying all the way from europe for support him? please let them add oil. thank you

Thank you for writing this :). And I respect you for taking the courage to step up and speak for Mak/Tan.
Incidentally, please don't feel too upset with some of the posts written by the fans. Some of them just wanted their players to win so badly that prompt them to write some not so supportive posts. Also, they were not trained athletes'(I bet some of them don't even do competitive sports at school), which is why alot of them don't understand it is not easy to compete on interenational stage, let alone winning titles.

They thought that talents are easy to comeby and hardwork will definitely bring you to the podium. If only it was as easy as that.... What they don't realized is how lucky they are to be have so many wonderful athletes in their country. All I can say is...let it be and continue giving support to Mak and Tan.

I agree with lceling, I can never understand how hard they strive to perform on the big stage but when they fail to perform, I get extra disappointed (you know the reason why - they are my favourite pair) so I tend to feel a lot of negativity when I decide to make a post, making my tone seem 'negative' too. But we can be sure that all of us wants them to win, but not all of us will show support openly, some even jest. Nevertheless, I want to see whether their communication problem still persists. They didn't look good before the Swiss Open, although they gave quite a commendable performance during the Swiss Open. If they are not communicating well, I would support them getting split as it would do both players good.

weeny, wish MHC good luck from me, and lceling too...

nokh88 wants his players to win too. He just shows a 'different' form of support compared to lceling.

On another note, Mak/Tan will withdraw from the KL Open? :( I was hoping that they would perform there.

Leeny, some will critise are per their normal 'habit', some critise cos they're disappointed when Mak/TWK crumble in the big stages. As you may have read, Mak/TWK is the fav pair of one of the members here.

I like Mak HC actually(not due to earing reason like what some members think), was impressed with Mak/Teo KS during 2008 WJC. Personally, I always felt Mak is not suited to pair with TWK, not suited in personality & no big match mentality. And thus far, their performance is as what I expected would happen.

So, a split & if possible re-pair with Teo KS would be better for Mak. If TWK focus on XD or change partner in MD, win win situation for both of them.

Whenever you do meet them, tell Mak to continue being bold on court, that's what makes the difference at crucial points. I think TWK is very hardworking player, hmmm he should not lose heart, he will slowly but surely make his mark as he gains experience.

    my respond

    Helloz everybody,

Maybe I was overreacting sorry about that. Mak wont partner with TWK during KL open. mak actually withdraw because of his injured arm, but I hope he can manage to play if the injury not too serious. I am very happy to know there are fans who support mak/tan. I cant say anything abt the previous mak/teo duo. mak/teo split because of their slowlyness or what ever it calls, they were too slow and actually the slowly on the national team that is the reason why these two guys had to split.
My first visit in malaysia was during june/july when I went to KL for the first time. LAter on there was MAS GP GOLD, and I could feel the atmosphere in the stadium of JOHOR BAHRU. It was very nice and never expect so many people to watch the games. It was my first time to experirence the fans, wow u all can go bananas hhaha , compared to the Danish fans. (more silent types) Actually I was there in the hotel and were living together with a friend who went with me to malaysia. I saw the draw and I felt oh **** they are facing no.1 kkk/tbh, i felt ok maybe I shud just pack my luggage , we are hading back to KL CIty soon, and mak was asking me, dear why are you packing, i answered, we are going home tonite or tomorrow, instead of hurry, i want to pack first. He laughed. when we enter the hall. I could see all the supporters supporting mak/tan to win and they win with 2 sets i think, it was a big boom as we called it here in europe.

But now communication problems they need to fix. i cant give any advices. it is up to them, split or not split it is their decision. Sorry I am not following so much during these tournaments mak/tan got., i have my own stuff to do.

I remember you Limsy, you are the journalist, i first time chat with during facebook i think. great u keep getting updates. very positive to see so many fans who support them, I thank you all from the bottom of my heart :)
