Ferret check out Paragon Sports at Queensway Shopping Centre, level 2. BT Feather Team S$200 BT Feather $150
Turns out these are part of a new line, not surprisingly called "Quickforce". With the Quickforce 7 the top model (and not the 7th version already ), along with Quickforce 5, 3 and J(unior).
This BT feather - am not impressed. Don't know about you guys but my experience isn't going well. Eventually, I gave up on wearing them for badminton because I felt very flat footed in them. The sole is quite thin on the forefoot area. I stopped wearing them for badminton and went back to my old shoes. I changed the adidas into street walking shoes. The elastic strap inside the left shoe has now come loose (detached) I haven't even used them that much - the outside of the shoes are still in really good condition.
My old shoes were YY with lateral claws. Can't remember the model number. But they were starting to fall part anyway so I couldn't use them for long. Quite lucky that just after this switching of shoes, Forza sent me a pair of shoes to try out. These have suited me quite well as much better than the Adidas. It's been interesting to compare the differences between the Forza shoe and BT Feather. To be honest, the adidas shoe is nothing special. It might have to go through a few generations to become better or it may just be relying on the Adidas name to generate sales.
"Evolve" - it's very uncommon amongst retailers in HK. So not many people use it here. In HK, people tend to go for Yonex or Li Ning. Mizuno is fairly common as well. Not too sure about the Victor shoes as I don't go round looking at people's feet all the time. Forza don't have the same clout in Asia as they do in Europe.
I would say it's pretty hard to find froza shoes in asia. Not many places carry. So people choices are usually limited to those few brands.
I can get Forza in the USA, in fact I have a lower Forza economical model and it is tearing due to more playing time so I am looking for a replacement shoe soon.
I went to a store to have a closer look at the BT Feather and to be honest, I don't like the design. I haven't put it on yet so can't say about the feel and the quality. QuickForce 7 is nice in my view (YY shoes are not good in design recently, neither Victor). Not sure about the quality as it is not released just yet, but when my YY SHB-01MX is falling apart, I'll give it a try.
I managed to get a sample pair of quickforce7 bright orange color, size 8.5uk which is also Lindan size. I was told that there was only 150 pair produced as the official launch is yet to be decided most likely on early September or end of the year. Wearing wise, oh my... I have tried lots of high end models.. currently wearing mizuno wave fang rv, yonex shbf1n Ltd, adidas bt feather (crappy shoe) and the lcw model don't remember the code.. I would say quickforce 7 cushioning wise win hands down. It feels comfortable and very agile. If u r planning to buy any new shoe I suggest this is worth the wait.
BT Feather 2 looks like a simple update of the colours ... also selling at Zalando already (QuickForce 7 as well) Already selling in Europe @ msrp/rrp 140 (or 135?) euro (=~$190/S$235 tax included ~20%). Quickforce 5 and 3 also available already ...
Has anybody tried Quickforce 7 yet? Now available in Europe: http://badmania.fr/badminton-adidas-quickforce-7-bleue-125fp226.html
