Thank you for letting me know about Central sports service
I won't be buying rackets from them but other places.
Damn! They are the official retails for the All England 2012 Crap!

shaz' I hope you get a new Victor MX80 after how you have been treated....

Yeah, the reason I got from central sports was because in case anything happen I thought I would have been looked after, lucky I only bought one to start with.

From now, I'll buy them from far east and import them myself!

in the day and age of the internet, there really should be no room for such service. people will find out about it and they will lose sales as a result.

and it looks like the effect already happened.

Well I would like to think that I am superman... ;)

And the poor service continues. They had decided on Monday that my racket will not be replaced, but it is still in their possession. I asked for it to be returned to me ASAP, they reverted and said that they will SEND it back by Friday, so who knows when I will receive it back. I don't understand why they're keeping it in their own hands for so long if they have decided that they aren't going to do anything with it.

It's still my property but they seem to still think that they can decide when to send the racket back as if they are still in the driving seat.

Jesus why are these people so inept.

It's a disgraceful allegation they've levelled at you, and in the end, they'll lose out.

The breakage looks to be a defect, but it's disgraceful that they have levelled an accusation that you'd break it deliberately.

Thats bad from Central Sports, this is clearly a manufacturing defect in the racket! even if you did clash and damage it somehow it wouldn't break like that in the shaft from a clash... (i would assume)

You should get more luck out of VictorUK.. give them a shout... there are also other retailers that sell Victor in the UK..

poor form by Central Sports, its a shame they are Badminton England's retailer of choice.. :-/

edit: also, if you had purposefully broken it yourself, surely you would have done a better job than that and broken it clean in 2 pieces!

Aren't you in this business? Selling on behalf of Forza?

Out of interest, if this was a Forza racket that came back to you like this, what would be the outcome? Full replacement?

Yes, we wouldn't have a problem replacing it if its clearly a manufacturing defect, we would send the damaged racket back to Forza and they would then send us a replacement for it...

    That's good to know:)

I don't think this is right, and judging from the posts, central sports haven't dealt with this very well.

Thanks for the reply. The problem is Central Sports now are Victor UK and as far as I know, the only stockists of Victor products in the UK.

I am dealing direct with Victor International in Germany.

Indeed the break, if intentional, would be a lot more obvious and severe.

After reading this post , I am glad that I didnt buy my rackets from centralsport and never will. . false accusation and the treatment central sport handed to their customer is unacceptable.

I will inform the fellow players at my club and the university team ....and let them spread the word.

If a business treat their customer like this , they deserve to go out of business. :(

    Shame on the company

That's going to reflect badly on Victor. Wonder how long their contract with Victor for distributor rights is for.

Well I think this was a one off. Central Sports was very unhelpful as my feelings have been made clear earlier on this post.

I managed to get a good deal on another MX80. And I've been dealing directly with Victor International in Germany to get this resolved and again, they have been more than helpful so I'm back to being happy with Victor as a company, it's Central Sports who I will never do any business with again.

No bad word on Victor! It's their UK representatives who are letting them down it seems! Someone else needs to get their distribution!

    Well said

Many thanks to that review. The problem now i think is the way to find the dealer. I dun seem to find a proper dealer in the UK except from Central sport for a good price.

I am still thinking between victor or Yonex. I had a cheap Victor rac and love it but i wonder about if quality increase proportionaly interms of price.

My choice was between the Victor MX-80 and the Yonex VT-80. One of the guys I play with has a VT-80 and I prefer the feel of the MX, whereas he prefers the feel of the VT.

There's not really much in it.

It is a very good quality racket, hence why I was so surprised at the way it broke, but I suppose these things happen.

Mate, the MX80 isn't a patch on the VT80. We've danced this dance already!!!
