At $170K Yonex Chinese Taipei Grand Prix Gold 2008, Sinhuang

    Final -
    (2) Saina Nehwal (IND,14) bt Lydia Li Ya Cheah (MAS,72) 21-8 21-19

Saina becomes the first Indian woman to win a golden grand prix tournament ... With this victory Saina will climbed on her best singles ranking, #12.

Heartily congratulation to Saina for this well deserved victory ... Her performance in Olympics was shot in an arm for her ... She had talent from the beginning but performance at Olympics helped her to believe on her own ability in thick or thin ... Really happy for her.

Japan Super Series 2008 Badminton Tournament

    .
Yes ... Saina's next SS match will be at the Japan Super Series 2008 Badminton Tournament tomorrow, Wednesday 17-Sep-2008.

Not easy though; In Round 1, Saina will be playing against Mi Zhou, the former World WS No.1.

    Good Luck to Saina !!!

    ^^Coming on strong..^^

..the scoreline sure indicates a very tough & gritty win for Saina, esp. playing against one of the top WS players in China's WS armada, and in China. Good for her!

China Masters Super Series Semi-Finals: Saina was too tired?

    .
Today, Saturday 27-Sep-2008, at the China Masters Super Series Semi-Finals, Saina was defeated by Hong Kong's Zhou Mi, currently ranked No.7 in the world, 21-4, 21-19 (in just 26 minutes).

Perhaps Saina was too tired after the tough match against China's Zhu Lin yesterday.
