Z-Slash's shaft has been measured to be about 6.9-7.0mm. It WAS the slimmest from YY when it was introduced. VT70 seemed to have a 6.9mm shaft has well, though Yonex never advertised it.

Since 3 of the top 4 (used to be all 4 of them) are Japanese brand sponsored, I wonder why Mizuno never got them to pick up the TC700 which is like a folklore legend?

Careful there, asking too much from the boss:). Don't worry the SiW35 legend will be like the AT700, TC700...they are folklore legends already:cool:. They will always be there;). The more I've seen the reviews the more I'm leaning to SiW35's power as opposed to VT80 (MX80 too) in the middle ground (except that the World number one won with a VT80 and LD:D did not...ooops:D. Also, there's Paul Stewart's review coming up to look forward to for more reviews comparison:cool:.

with just one tournament it goes to this hype??lol..maybe we should wait a lil bit more...I think LCW's win is much much more than just because of the racket...

I wouldnt say the racket isnt good..personally I want to bring it home too..good paiting this time from YY...so my curious what is the different practically, feeling-wise, hit-wise other than just weight difference between 3U and 4U of this racket??

The company was initially named Yoneyama, after the founder's family name.

well, so far i have tried this racket, previously was using the Z slash... I have to say the Z slash swings faster and mess up my smash timing a bit, before that I used to use armortec 700 and also the Woods N90... I will have to say that smashes on the VT80 is as good as lining woods N90 and armortec 700, and much better than the z slash... however when it comes to defending, i think the z slash is better, but VT80 is way better then armortec 700 in defence. Net play also is pretty impressive.
