The original Russian gypsy song Dorogoy dlinnoyu. SO nice. The English words don't go well with the tune.

A guy dependent on the radio for music feeds, only recently listened to Adele and her smashing Rolling In the Deep and was instantly captivated. Went doing the next thing a guy would do after that - Youtube her stuff ('youtube' is a verb now?) and found some really great stuff. Never knew she was so popular!

Of course being famous breeds imitation, more so if it means parodies.

Lyrics to Pumped Up Kicks :
    Robert's got a quick hand.
He'll look around the room, he won't tell you his plan.
He's got a rolled cigarette, hanging out his mouth he's a cowboy kid.
Yeah he found a six shooter gun.
In his dads closet hidden in a box of fun things, and I don't even know what.
But he's coming for you, yeah he's coming for you.

    [Chorus x2:]
All the other kids with the pumped up kicks you'd better run, better run, outrun my gun.
All the other kids with the pumped up kicks you'd better run, better run, faster than my bullet.

    Daddy works a long day.
He be coming home late, yeah he's coming home late.
And he's bringing me a surprise.
'Cause dinner's in the kitchen and it's packed in ice.
I've waited for a long time.
Yeah the slight of my hand is now a quick pull trigger,
    I reason with my cigarette,
And say your hair's on fire, you must have lost your wits, yeah.

    [Chorus x2:]
All the other kids with the pumped up kicks you'd better run, better run, outrun my gun.
All the other kids with the pumped up kicks you'd better run, better run, faster than my bullet.

    [Whistling]

    [Chorus x3:]
All the other kids with the pumped up kicks you'd better run, better run, outrun my gun.
All the other kids with the pumped up kicks you'd better run, better run, faster than my bullet.

, reading Swedish is relatively easy for me anyway as is Danish and Norwegian once you at least know the meaning of some common words that have no resemblance to our equivalent and I can usually tell if a movie is Swedish or Norwegian. If you take like the movie Gamle mænd i nye biler it would make absolutely no sense in Dutch :D, or Män som hatar kvinnor: "gamle", "biler" and "kvinnor" bare no resemblance at all to "oude", "auto's" and "vrouwen". Or at least gamle resembles "gammel" which to take the easy route (google translate) is something like skrangliga .
Plus of course a lot of children's movies and tv series from Scandinavia are shown here undubbed and I've recently gone back to listening P3 radio since my local favorite radio channel was controversially shut down for not having enough commercial potential  (P3 - P3Star to be precise now that a lot of the sub genre channels no longer are around)
Kept hearing Harcore Superstar with "Moonshine" but the above is better :).

And other than Zlatan and Toivonen I have never seen a Swede or Danish footballer fail to speak practically fluent Dutch. Stefan Pettersson 15 years on is still fluent :).

Nice one, even better with the sound muted [IMG].

Now that I think of it the full word for car should probably be automobiel or Automobil in German which give us "bil' :D which in turn means ass in Dutch :p which in turn bears no resemblance to rumpor.

Actually, come to think of it its the same way for me with dutch.. It is kind of reading a mixture between Swedish, English and german, so I have no trouble reading dutch.. When Spoken.. well thats a cooompletely different matter :-D
