alright. the other ARC10 w/ ZM62 did break today as expected. it broke on a really tough game and my other ARC10 was also out of commission. :( cost me a game.

but now, ZM62 vs. ZM62PT A/B comparison coming up. give me a few days.

That's a very good guess. I was thinking "powerful Titanium." Waiting for my friend to restring my other rackets for zm62.

Well it's not really a guess. Dink already mentioned there is a silver ZM62 prototype being tested and shortly after referred to it as ZM62 PT ... "Power Transfer" could have been an option :D.

that's correct. in fact, there are 2 diff prototypes that Dink sent me along with the Ultra Pros, one rated better by Dink than the other. i now have two unstrung ARC10s that i can use for comparison purposes. just realized that i do have another ZM65. so i need to choose between ZM62, ZM62PT and ZM65. ZM62 vs. ZM62PT seems like a better one as the ZM65 has been canned and will not see production, despite being one of my fav strings.

Are you sure it's not "Panda Tested"?

    strings done.

the ZM62PT has a pretty stiff outer shell. but at the same time, very slippery. together with the .62mm thickness, it goes through any hole like it is lubricated.

not sure if this is good for play though, usually we need a moderate amount of tackiness.

2 ARC10's, one with ZM62PT@26lbs, the other one with ZM62@26lbs, came out to the exact same frequency. 1128Hz.

Don't worry Kwun, the silver PT will grip enough.

ok. so here it is. the ZM62PT is a winner. i don't really care too much how long it will last, but the feeling of the PT is livelier than the regular. the issue with the regular has always been it is a bit too stiff, even though the feel is crispy. now the PT fixes that problem.

everything else seems to remain the same.

ANything to do with the dye? I thought white/natural was the magic colour ... ? Maybe you should try some platinum ZM62 as well [IMG].

Would there be a ZM67PT? And when would we expect them to hit the market anytime?

So it's a softer feeling string? But performs the same? Maybe more testing and opinions. I just broke another 2 sets of ZM62 last nite :(

I have mixed 67 and 62 and seems to be a good compromise between durability and hitting power so far. Been on my racquet for 3 weeks (3 times a week play) at 26lbs.

    sigh.

this addiction to ZM62 is costly.

yesterday, took 2 ARC10s to the gym. the regular ZM62 broke. it broke pretty spectacularly. 4 main strings snapped in one mishit.

today, took the other ARC10, the ZM62PT snapped, also mishit on a full stretched retrieval in a mixed game.

so two ZM62 in two days.

maybe high tension isn't the right way to do this. or perhaps string one more cross string at the top.

No, do not do that, it will hurt the structural rigidity of the racket.

Panda has a solution that's relatively pain less and helps a lot. :D
