can anyone tell me what racquet chai biao is using now? Specifically the one he was using at the recent Swiss Open ? Thank you
http://www.yumaoclub.com/yumaoqiu/images/Choose/9000_use_discuss_1.gif The FB has the same pattern as the 9000 (2 shared holes + 4 pairs of single holes), but Ahsan's racket has the same pattern as the NS8000 (2 holes + 3 pairs of single holes). Either the stringer didn't bother with the top cross string, or Ahsan ain't using a FB...

This is pretty much the nail in the coffin for all this talk of Mogensen using a FB. From VTZF to FB to VTZFII? Utter nonsense.
Why not? I think a change for professionals to another racket is always only a "short" time of adapt. I also tried the FB and have no problems to adapt on it. So why should a pro cannot adapt to it? The difference between VTZF to VTZFII is not a small one (my opinion). I rather think that if he really use an VTZFII (the grommets show this) the possibilty is greater that he was using an FB.
Haha yeah, because the FB is certainly more similar to it than the ZF I don't think it's really conclusive proof that he used FB-painted ZFs, but it sure makes it more likely than him switching between complete extremes....also, I have yet to see anyone smash really great with the FB, assuming of course Ahsan is indeed using sth re-painted (which the stringing pattern indicates strongly). Amateur players using the FB are fun to watch at times because they can basically only kill the shuttle when it's at the front service line or shorter The most amazing thing is when big, strong players use it and completely sacrifice the advantage they could have (using heavy rackets) to get somewhat close to faster players using a balanced to heavy racket.
Well, when you see FB breaking at low 20's during stringing and consider that Mog is playing 36... I simply cannot believe it. Added to this the fact that we were told by a stringer with absolutely no reason to lie.
I agree. I consider the FB to be little more than a sideshow novelty with almost no practical use above a certain level of play.
