dink is more of a monster.
he doesn't have to hit the floor to break his racquet, he can break it by just hitting the shuttle!

As from 2007, broke 3 rackets, an AT700, then the W9 and Cab 15. And yes, my racket destruction capability is nowhere near sir Dink's level yet, trashing a racket just by smashing!

I had been looking at teh Yehlex site actually, although quite tempting, I didn't know someone who had one so that I could try them out.No worries though, will be heading to HK soon, so gonna pick some up then!

Man, ive broken two rackets : an mp 21 (when it was new) and a iso ti sp sr
Coincidentally like a week or two after I got them =.=. It wasnt from mishits or a super hard smash xD but from clashes...The first with my doubles partners racket...(head flew off right below t joint) and the second when practising my overhand stroke lightly and it clipped the ceiling...Compared to every other story I feel like such a noob xD

wahh.. my ti7.. which i left sitting against the wall after it cracked in a small bit.. is completely.. dead now... the frame could hold the tension, and when i came back home after school, it was severely dented, after a bit more, it cracked again, and i decided to cut the strings to ease its pain =\

graphite splinters went flying when i cut it, weird foam like material inside the frame.. pictures up later..

Yet another racquet that i must add to this list. I was playing a tournament this weekend and then low behold bam the handle felt weird kinda flexible so i switched racquets already having a good idea of what happened, i looked at it after the match and it had broken. I just got back home to calgary today so i took the grip off to see the damage and this is what i saw.

    Its a Forza Ti-24 N-forze:

Are my panda eyes deceiving me? I don't think I've ever seen this post, otherwise, I would have contributed something. :p

Anyway, let's see what I can dig up...

Most recent, happened last week, smash, smash, smash and...well, one of the longest lasting rackets I've owned, definitely tops in the bang-for-the-buck department, my Chao Pai Nano Power 728:

Miscellaneous breaks in the last 6 months from smashing:

    Mishit and bye-bye 9000-X:

    Mishit and bye-bye Cab20:

    Mishit and bye-bye Woven 7:

    Mishit and bye-bye AT700:

    Smash and W11 goes snap:

One of the worst mishits I had, good bye D600:

    Yet more W11s I've broken:

    I think I've broken 5 or 6 W11s, can't remember now, all at the shaft, snappy-snappy:

Can't remember what happened to this one:

Mishit from a long time ago:

I have no clue what I did to this one, so long ago:

Mishit up top and bye-bye birdie:

I know I have a lot more but can't find them. Oh well, there's always more...to come. :p

I hope it's more because of mishitting with high tension than just your Panda-smashing powers. :p

It's not common to see a broken handle or shaft.. most breakages are in the frame. Maybe Sir DinkALot hits harder than FHF..

Actually, all those rackets you see above were strung on a crank machine at 28lbs. or lower. So that's like 25-26lbs. on my electronic constant pull. So the tension wass not high at all. :p

No way, FHF is Panda's daddy. :p

Tons of people hit harder that Panda. Panda still working on his technique, timing and swing. Panda good. Good panda! :D

Actually I had a lot more rackets I didn't take pictures of or can't find. And if you add clashes, that's another 10 or so. But I don't add clash rackets. For me that's like cheating. :p (although I'd say three or more of those rackets probably broke earlier due to prior clashing)

The W11s is a weird story. SOTX said none of their top hitters were breaking the 11 and it was its strongest racket next to the W16. For me, they snapped like toothpicks. Go figure. I love the 11 and would go back in a heartbeat if SOTX could make it more durable. If you have cracks, they will go within 1-3 weeks depending on the severity; at least that's what happened to me.

But for now, I will just stick with the Woven 7. I got rid of all my yellow Ti10s. The two I used were getting flexy in the shaft after just two weeks. :(
