Maybe because Victor signature rackets have specifications unique to that racket whereas a VT80PG is a repainted VT80 or a ARC11TH is the same as a standard ARC11?
It's odd that the entire Japanese team is not sponsored by Yonex, top to bottom. I see Wilson, Yonex and Mizuno.
It's been discussed in the past Apparently, there are full sponsorship system and partial sponsorship system in japan When a pro enters into partial sponsorship system, he/she could wear YY for racket and apparel, but Mizuno / Adidas for shoes... etc cmiiw
I don't think there is a "full" sponsorship. Even the full Yonex players don't play with a Yonex logo on their strings ... I think they have their team sponsorship, individual sponsorship and when in the national selection and trips paid by the NBA do they have to wear the Yonex national team outfit.
I saw Bosch/Ridder with this logo on their shirts as well at the WC and they only recently signed a deal with Apacs ... Perhaps only for the Sudirman Cup in Malaysia Or Babolat X-Feel Blast latest version (his long time sponsor)
That racket is the same colour as the 'pinky-red' on their shirts. The only way that it's not the same colour is if the paint is a pearl (one colour in one light, another colour in another).
It does not look paint... the pink colour (tape?) that is protruding from under orange grip and the ones around the racket head look to lumpy and uneven. Well at least according to Mark A's photo. I did not really take note of it when I was watching TBH/KKK
The shirt is actually red, and the racket does look different when you watch the match TROLL? Are you familiar with "graphics" ? edit: I see some more screengrabs were already posted here http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...oming-Nanoray-Z-speed!!?p=2126381#post2126381
