BAC implemented notional points inconsistantly Frans Kurniawan/M. Rijal shouldn't be drawn in Qualifying, Frans has highest rank in MD among all MD players. Maybe they confused with his family name on the list but they knew his member id well
Not so nice draw in the MD... Fran-Rizal might have to face Edo-Lingga in the 1st round... Competitive yet fair draw in the MS department. Maybe not so good for Bandar, who have to face Nguyen in the R16, but well, Bandar's rankings is like that... Excellent draw in the WS, WD, and XD. Could not be much better than that.
Wow, anneke & annisa seed 4 in WD... How can it be? Tough to lindaweni, she should play in qualification round first.. Aniway, semangat to all indonesia players!! Gambatte!!
follow the seeded list from some tournaments, seeded 1-4 must be original pair with BWF Ranking Points (no new combination pair with notional points) while M/Q list based on BWF Ranking Points & notional points. M/Q List of some tournament was created fairly based on BWF Ranking Points and notional points, but the creator of the list looked lazy to find BWF Ranking Points & count the notional points, so strage MD Draw has come. Beside Fran/Rijal, Jayan James/K.S Hersen also should be in main draw.
Tough competitions in the MD with the participation of Hendri Kurniawan Saputra/Hendra Wijaya. Wifqi Windarto/Afiat Yuris Wirawan will face them as early as the QF. Fernando Kurniawan/Lingga Lie are seeded first and they ought to win this title....not easy though for them.
Badminton Asia had withdrawn the draw from the website...hopefully Referee can re-draw as Frans/Rijal can be seeded.
Thats correct..the point is they should be in MD, not in qualification.. Anyway....they noticed it...let see what Referee will decide.....
Simple....Fran/Rendra's ranking pt of 32140 will be multiplied by 1/2 then 10/9 and finally by 80%. That will put the notational ranking to be 14,284.
Seeded 1-4, it's pure BWF Ranking, no notional ranking points seeded-7, Duong/Pham, BWF pts 8930 of 5 tourn, notional : 8930*10/5 = 17860 seeded-8, Kamura/Ueda, BWF pts 5860 of 3 tourn, notional : 5860*10/5 = 11720 Fran/Rijal : Fran BWF pts 32140 of 9 tourn (paired with Rendra) Rijal BWF pts 0 (zero) notional points : 0.8*10*((32140/9)+0)/2 = 14284.44, it's higher than points of seeded-8 but lower than pints of seeded-7

BAC had sent it to Referee for decision...telling them that Frans/Rijal can be seeded plus the seeding entry list, they are in 23rd so there is no way Frans/Rijal is in qualifying to begin with.....they promised to come back with decision tomorrow....thats why they took the draw out from website this morning..
Somehow, Fran-Rijal ended up not being seeded #8... Well whatever! This draw is much better than the one before! As long as the INA MD pairs don't have to fight it out in the 1st round and don't have to play tough seeded players, it is a good draw! Fran-Rijal vs. Wifqi-Alfiat in the semifinals, maybe...
They didn't use notional rank for MD seeding, so did in XD seeding too Just to take the more simple way than re-drawing, however it's better than old draw.
Now the bigger problem is how we can find the schedule & results daily ? The present of PAW Vietnam Challenge is depend of it, a big miss if we skip this PAW tournament.
