They "always" put it on series with 4U versions. Voltric, Armortec also have ultra light weight on the shaft. Just balance the racket on your finger (or thinner, like a ruler) and remember the letter(s) where it is balancing . Then measure, straight, from the buttcap.

For a strung racket without the original grip, seems quite headlight to me actually. Depends on the replacement grip and wrapping perhaps ...
Bought a nanoray 800 on impulse. My first session with the new toy wasn't too good. Whilst it is definitely a superior control racket and gives me the confidence to direct the shuttle to anywhere I want on the court, its lack of smashing power is concerning. Anyone else tried this racket and help me resolve this problem of lack of smashing power? I will keep playing with it still......
I have been playing with NS9900 and SW37 both with YY ngy 98 @ 24lbs. My NR800 also has the same setup with ngy 98 @ 24lbs.....
I assume all of them 3U? So it would seem that NR800 is quite similar to NR700, ie chiefly for front and midcourt plays.
My NS9900 is 3U but SW37 is 4U. Despite 4U, it bags a lot of power. NR800 is more a control racket. I think it just needs a particular style of play to harness its unique qualities.....
It is interesting to see all the different reviews on the racquet...thanks everyone. Given the product description by YY, i am suprised no one even commented on its ability around the net (drops, interceptions, net kills). I would imagine drives and net attacks should be strong points of this racquet, and not smashes. So, you like to the be the power guy in the back, this will not be the racquet for you. But i am wondering any reviews from front doubles players? Cheers
Not saying anything about the power, but it is a different racket. Just don't expect it to be a NS9900 replacement as some of you already find out.
I rather find that it's an excellent racket. It has more power than the NR700s while keeping the maneuverability and incredible defense. Some people don't like it because they can't smash like with an AT700 with it, which is normal...
not only at700. it cant smash like ns9900 or ns9000 either. wonder ns8000 play similary. nvr play with it before.
Interesting to see a few YY sponsored players switched to Nanoray 800 in the French Open. Besides the Denmark ladies doubles pair, Bodin (Thailand mens doubles player) switched also. Bodin typically is the power guy in the back for his team, and his smashes with this "powerless" racquet are still quite threatening for his opponents. BTW, they came in 2nd for the tournament...
