Lin Dan is far superior than Taufik. Lin Dan has much less early exits from tournaments and is more consistent. Also Lin Dan usually tries his best in matches. Maybe not at this year's AE :)

There's no way that Taufik can beat LD today.

LD should already be thinking about defending his Olympic title in London.

it is a good idea. a great marketing strategy to make badminton more popular,

anyway, Taufik Hidayat is still a good player, however he has everything NOW. pretty wife, amazing kid, wealth, achievements.. If I were TH, I will play bad :)

    You see...
Sometimes a good player won't make a good coach.
Jose Mourinho & Sir Alex, were they good players?
Dunga? 1 World Cup in 1994. As a coach? 1 Copa America. That's all...

They all has been in their golden time, they are gifted player with very unique own stlye. Soon Lin Dan also will loose his golden time as TH was. All we have to do is to learn from what has been inspire by them.

No,he won't be able to do that to TH.In fact,i can see that LD treats TH like no 1 big enemy, also with respect. He wanted to achieve like TH did in his career. In return,TH takes LD as a good player, not as god,so he always played with LD without fear.If u always watch TH's match,TH will only play well or seriously if he played against top players. But strangely, couldn't get serious while playing against the underdogs.:)

TH has never win All-England while LD has made to the final 4 straight years. And as much as I liked TH, I have to say LD is far superior today. Back hand smash alone is not enough.

BTW, I am in before the lock. :D

Up on my high horse, here, but that CJ/LD match in the semis was apalling. If that was CJ "giving his all" I'll eat my hat; I can vividly imagine Li Yongbo telling them "let Dan win, but don't tire yourselves out". Worked, though - CHN got gold and bronze...

    Still, it's mere unproven speculation;).

Most people will agree that Taufik is the one of the most talent players among active players. But too bad, "most talent" not equals "best".

LOLOLOL, nice try, however u got it BACKWARD. By letting LD win easily, it help CJ to conserve energy and he needed it because it took CJ 79mins and 3 sets to bury LHI to earn him the bronze.

    Chen Jin of China
    (Seeded 4th)

    who beat

    Lee Hyun-Il of Korea
    (Unseeded)

    Final Score: 21-16, 12-21, 21-14
    Match Duration: 79 minutes

From what i saw, it wasn't taxing at all for LD to beat LCW. LD spent more energy celebrating than beating LCW. Kekeke. :D

I don't see any conflict between your post and his. He indeed said "let LD win, but don't tire yourselves out", and that "yourselves" definitely includes CJ.

    ^^Bored with one style??..^^

get bored with one style??..no problemo..

..if one wants to watch how to play and win with backhand, net-play, smash & flair, then it's Taufik
..if one wants to watch how to play and win with speed, quickness, killer smash & stamina, then it's LinDan

    happy?..
