If 4 of them are to retire after the OG London, then we might have a new era of badminton in men's singles
If that happens, we will be left with a gaping hole in internatinal badminton. I'd rather not think about that day.
off topic (replying here because the other thread is now locked): ..ya, LCW won the CHN TPE Open before (some 6 yrs back). But we were referring to a SS-level tourney and one which is held in mainland China.
Goosh, there are so much badminton related threads in this forum, nokh. Spend some time reading them.
if the 4 retires... george will jump in to replace them. He's been training hard to try to beat both ld and lcw records... lol. dun play play.. pck is back.
I think Lin Dan will retire first sad to say He has openly said after winning the Asia Games that he will retire in 2 years.. I recon after the Olympics.. Saying this, Chong Wei may never win the Olympics.. Here's the interview he did in video..
it will be sad day for badminton if Lin Dan retire because no youngster has reach his level yet, badminton will fall into oblivion... similar to the time when Jordan retire from basketball
i think lin dan wil retire 1st...LCW will retire after lin dan bcoz no one can replace LCW as top bdminton plyer for mlysian team...besides dat..i think...LCW wan to win another major chmpionship b4 he retire dat he never win...just my humble opinion..
I predict that LD will retire after OG and LCW will continue you for 1 more year to collect his first WC title and call it an end.
Maybe 'LCW will continue you for 1 more year to TRY TO collect his first WC title and call it an end' but by then, it could be CJ time to shine or someone from CHN
