    Hows the quality like?

I've been disappointed with Victor Champion shuttles for quite a while now as it doesn't seem to last long.

Carlton AG 9.9 is relatively a durable shuttlecock which I used one year ago. I bought it from Queensway at about SGD$24. The indian owner told me that it's a popluar brand among the Indian group and it's durability was close to AS40 but heavier. When I used it, the durability was indeed good and it does fly far !!!

The durability for even the best Victor shuttles is mediocre at best. I like their lower end shuttles for practice since its pretty cheap and flies well, even if the durability is still an issue.

The most durable I played with was aeroplane black with the rounded tip.

I would say Carlton AG 9.9 is fast, durable and cheap from my point of view after using about 10 tubes and I still have 5 tubes in my house.

Fast - Relatively heavy, powerful smashes
Durable - Can last very long, maybe 1.5 games but the flight is slowing down as it changes shape maybe towards the last few points of a game. But all the feather are still intact.
Cheap - You can get $23 per tube if you get 5 and above. But I guess price will increase pretty soon.

For Victor Green, I have used maybe about 10 tubes too, the flight is consistent throughout it's lifespan but it may only last ~ 0.7 of a game as its feather will be broken.

RSL Tourney No.1 seems to be quite ok in terms of durability and flight, maybe 1 per game if I am not mistaken. Used about 10 tubes a year ago. That;s why can't really recall now. That time I got it for RM43 and a shop in Raffles Place for about S$25

As most feathers shuttles are made in China, the logistics of moving shuttles to the rest of the world means the time between manufacture and final purchase and play can be rather long. The longer this takes the more fragile the feathers get. I suggest you buy from a source that has a very high turnover.
If you plan to buy in qty open one tube and test the shuttles thus:
dip the feathers end into 2" of water, take the shuttles out, shake off the water, and then use your hand to feel the feathers. They should be dry because the natural oils are still there. If they feel wet, you probably have shuttles that are a few years old.

Guys, I am back. I bought 10 tubes of RCL Titanium (77) at RM54 / tube recently in Ipoh, Choong Lian opposite of Kamdar Shopping Centre.

It really lasted very long, like 2.5 to 3 games each shuttle but the speed seems abit slower. Probably feels like Sosan Tournament Grade (76).

2.5 to 3 games per shuttlecock? That was something! Do you guys smash a lot?

I would love to give it a try if given the chance.

Ya, I guess we did 50 - 60% of smashes during each game. Its really that lasting if you don't mind the speed.

Lately I bought 4 tubes of shuttlecock for testing their durability, speed and also consistency oh the shuttle. I bought RCL titanium, RSL no 1 tourney , yonex AS 30 and also protech masterpiece. To me the best shuttlecock is yonex AS 30. Its speed is consistent for a very long time, most durable and hitting sound is excellent. Second is RCL titanium. RCL provide excellent durability but its speed consistency is not good as yonex. Third is protech masterpiece. Its durability is not far than RCL titanium but its speed consistency is better than RCL. The worst to me is RSL no 1 tourney. I think the shuttlecock is a bit fast and most of my friend dont like to use it.
Later, I will try sealion gold/white and also RCL titanium gold for testing.

How about Proza PZ-600/700? They're quite durable(from my experience, might differ from yours.)

    Each tube costs about RM30(for 600) and RM40(for 700.)

The 700 is slightly more durable and a lot faster than the 600.

I dont mind buying more RCL Titanium if I can get them from JB easily (walking distance from Msia Custom). For that price, the durability are really superb. It reduces quite alot of running cost for my group.

its not quality adults should use i guess. only good enough for kids.

however, i think kids deserve better than that.
