i was looking thru 3 of the windsor branches in Japan but couldnt find this Ultimax... any idea where is selling
From what I've been reading, this string just came out Oct so many stores may not have it yet. I'm not too knowledgeable about Japan locations, maybe someone can advise. If you happen to be in Osaka then shuttle house would have them. http://shuttle-house.com/page_top_ENGLISH/Shop_TOP/Shop_Introduction/map_b.jpg
Just got an update from Yonex Canada..the BG66 Ultimax is now available in Canada in white and yellow. Still in love with the LiNing 101N at the moment. May try this new Yonex string next week.
Hi Guys Ultimax is available at My Badminton Store http://www.mybadmintonstore.com/shop/index.php?cPath=25_29_52_90 The other day it was available on pre-order now it is in stock! Not sure how prices compare to elsewhere. Does anyone know if Ultimax will be available in the UK? Who do I contact to find out? Thanks and happy hitting. PS I use BG66 Maxima and love it!
I have a freebie set of this coming soon - nice timing since I've just resumed playing. I loved 66M - used it at 28 with plastics and found it replete with power and noise, and durability was not an issue. Still, I'm being told to try the Precision with BG65@32 ECP, so it might nto be used for a while...
Mark can you tell us what racket you play with bg66M @28 on plastics? I've had trouble playing with BG80 @ 26 on plastics but my racket is light. my guess would be your using a 3U leaning towards head heavy, or the BG66M is some kind of super string
The 66M was on my NS9900, which is most definitely NOT head heavy. BG80 will definitely be reluctant with plastics; BG66 and its cousins are much softer. The original 66 is very easy to bend, in fact.
According to the package, BG66UM(Pts 10) has better control than BG66M(Pts 9). But BG66UM(Pts 6) is less durable than BG66M(Pts 7).
Played with this BG66 Ultimax now for about 3 hours, strung @ 26/28 #s on Arc 8DX. It's too soft for plastics, and not the best for feathers IMHO . Personally, I still prefer the hard string like BG80, BG85, and my fav is still the LiNing A101N(maybe it's the thinnest of the 3?) The harder string gives better sounds and feel.
Yes, Sunrise has brought in the BG66UM and they will be priced similar to NBG95 and 98. Unfortunately, they have no plans to bring in the BG66M for who knows whatever reason.
Just crap I think, how much different can it be from bg66? Just a gimmick way of making more money. I"ll stick to bg66. If it last longer and bla bla bla... it is no longer bg66 correct? So, lets stick to the original.
I did a comparison of BG66 n BG66M on 2 rackets , same model / specs / tension / stringer / grip / gripping method , and they feels totally different , try it.
Is the SP version out? I found this string in a badminton court store here in Malaysia. Had doubts if it was real. Please excuse the blurry pic. Was using handphone camera.
Oh wow.. It must be real then. Just when I thought BG66UM was exclusively for Japan. It's from the shop in Badminton Court Wangsa Maju (Pro ONE or KLRC)
SP version is out in the market. JB here selling RM40 including stringing... Saw a few threads before someone said AJ Puchong is cheaper, RM35....
