With regards to wrist, yes wrist is very crucial in Badminton. In smashing for example by flicking your wrist, your smash will be steeper and end up in the middle court, on the other hand, if you are using your arm, your smash will end up near the court end. About which racket can maximize the usage of wrist, in my opinion, it all depends on our wrist strength.

Hmmm. I still quite confuse on picking a racket between vtzf or ns9900. i kinda like vtzf but afraid its too head heavy and waste money..

wrist is never use to smash but its only used to determine the direction and how deep ur shuttle goes.... it end up in the middle court, but not powerful enuf...and if u used only arm to smash, then ur shuttles energy will be very high, but still it is not steep....therefore... PRACTISE A GOOD AND CORRECT SMASHING STYLES and both ur problems will be solved. u can just use ur wrist all the time

Don't get confused :) assess this:

    1. If you play doubles most of the time, take the ns9900 3u
    2. If play doubles and single like 50 - 50; take the VT-ZF 4u. In single game, you won't be needing extreme speed as ns9900 would provide.

    hope it helps!

I believe that my explanation above is not clear enough. What i mean by using wrist to do smash is that we use it together with our arm. It will make the smash more powerful and steep. If we are using arm only, the smash is quite powerful but it ended up near the end of the court or even going out. If we are using wrist only, the smash will be steep but not powerful, therefore we have to use both, steep and powerful.

If you have bought VTZF and feel that it is too heavy to handle, train your arm and wrist will do.

agreed! the 4u vtzf is more forgiving and it can be played in single and doubles...but it requires time to get used to because the frame is smaller.. my recommend : get my vt70 and vt80 at rm680, both this racket is good for doubles as i have them all in lighter version, that is 4u and 3u for the vt70...xDDDD.... goodluck on ur search buddy,if u have doubt yet, feel free to pm me.will help u as much as i could!

Danny since u are Malaysian, quote me current price for vtzf and ns9900. last week i saw at World of Rackets (Petama Complex) vtzf - Rm560 (racket + grip + bg66um).

so far that the most cheap racket shop i ever seen. have any cheaper than that?

    Its genuine rite?

VTZF frame is smaller than normal ISO frame racket, but it is not that hard to get used to, you will get used to it quite naturally, unlike arcsaber Z slash which you will feel quite awkward initially.

Indeed. Actually there are plenty of excellent rackets out there that might be suitable for TS. Victor rackets for example. I'm personally using THE Bravesword 10 as my main racket. So far I'm very satisfied with its excellent speed and power. FYI, I play doubles most of the times.

But hey, let's not make our TS becoming more confused :)
