The message is clear and simple; you break the record you will be be remembered.

The other who sets the previous record will never be remembered once broken. That's the rule of life and how the system works here.

As much as I adores Lee Chong Wei, Lin Dan will show up in Kuala Lumpur later to fight him in the Sudirman Cup 2013.

There and then you will see another repeat semi-final clash in Thomas Cup 2010. I am sure a lot of people remembered the outcome of the match :)

Go to Zhao Jianhua's thread to find the answer. It's not just the titles won but how he played.

Actually Sony's defense was ok (not in this match). When he defeated LCW 2 times at WC, his answers to LCW smashes that frustrate LCW. But today, maybe his depleted stamina tear down his defense and confident.
But congratulations to LCW for winning the title, and Sony for his achievements on his comeback.

It is more likely be Chen Long vs Lee Chong Wei clash then LCW vs LD, for it's still a long time from now.

That's exactly why Lee Chong Wei will never win a major. After some Super series victories, fans keep putting extremely heavy burden and high expectation on him to deliver. In the end, what happens ?

He lost to Lin Dan twice in two years. Do not forget Malaysian badminton players have one of the weakest mental strength in handling expectations. When you expect them to win, they will lose in the major event.

It has already happened two years in a row. Malaysians and fans alike should start acting low key before it happens again in Guangzhou 2013. What's worse it is Chinese home soil and Lee Chong Wei has never won a career title in China mainland? There goes your chance.

Ups, the MD event in Malaysia was really boring this year. The final was the most boring match in a long time!
Well, ofc amazing netplay by HS/AG and the Koreans looked psychological and physical not fit today (after playing a few weeks in a row). Still not interesting to watch.

The MAYBANK Malaysia Open 2013five titles up for grabs were won by players from five different countrieswhich is good for the sport of badminton.Tai Tzu Ying the teenager fromTaiwan, stamped her mark beating the Chinese qualifier Yao Xue and proved thather wins over the higher-ranked Tine Baun and Saina Nehwal earlier on were no flukes. She is now a player to be reckonedwith and she should give the Chinese players a run for their money provided hercoaches plan her tournament properly and not overtax her with too many tournamentsso to avoid a burnout.Malaysia’s CPS/GLY still need alot of improvement to justify their world number 3 ranking. They are just notgood enough to beat the top Danish and Chinese pairs. Their loss of to JFN/CPof 13-21, 18-21 proved this despite their being ranked number one in thetournament. Indonesia’s unseeded pair of MohdAhsan/Hendra Setiawan were just too good for Korea’s 6[SUP]th[/SUP] ranked pairof Ko Sung Hyun/Lee Yong Dae who were made to play like novices. MA/HS did notlift the shuttles much and were good in their smashes and deceptive drops. Itis good for the Koreans to lose in a way, as there were beginning to get cockywith their win after win after win.Malaysia’s world number one playerLee Chong Wei gave a master-class performance in his thrashing of Sony DwiKuncoro 21-7, 21-8. The match was very lop-sided and the score was one of the worseever suffered by a player in a super series final match. Sony appeared to belost in the woods and Chong Wei, for once, did not lift his foot off the pedal unlikewhat he did in the second game of his semi-final match against Jan O Jorgensenand in many other matches where he tended to lose focus in the second gamesafter winning the first games and which at times caused him to lose. The London2012 and the 2011 World Championship are cases in point. He cannot be a ‘gentleman’ in court and grant leeway tohis opponents if he is to win the big ones. With the win, LCW can now beconsidered as Malaysia’s greatest badminton player as his nine Malaysia Open winshave eclipsed the late Wong Peng Soon’s eight wins.Congratulations to Lee Chong Weiand the other winners.

More about speed, actually. Sony was unable to slow LCW down.

But several times when Sony did get to extend the rallies without putting himself in too much danger, he could find an opening. Problem was, LCW wasn't interested in rallying and kept putting the shuttle down at the earliest opportunity.

I actually enjoyed watching ZJH play badminton in his heyday.
He had many 'trick and deceptive' shots which won him points after points.
In style he was better than Yang Yang but lost out in the number of tournaments won as he tended to be not serious and was playful at times not unlike KKK. In other words, these two wanted to display their showmanship time after time.

TTY is a master of racquet control.
It's like taichi on the badminton court. Back and forth, hard and soft.
    Plus all the deception.
    And she definitely looks bigger.
Must have worked hard in the gym.
All the better for even more power.

She has some amazing shots displaying both control and power. I love her front net shot that looks like a lift but ends up being poked over the net in a dinky shot. That one earned her many points. Then there's her down the line smash and her underhand get out of jail cross court clear from baseline to baseline! Whoa nelly! How'd she get so much power from such a small person. :D
