my friend thinks black gives him an edge b/c the colour might make it harder for the opponent to see the racquet face, so he can do fake/trick shots. i don't know if it actually works that well, lol
I assume that he wouldn't get yellow yonex strings then, it's the colour of highlighters .. I like getting royal-blue coloured strings, they just look really clean and nice.
I like it in white...that is natural. I think some people like to match the colors with their racket to make it soothing to the eye...like the grip color. If I buy nanospeed 9000, I prefer a purple grip and if I buy nanospeed 8000, I like a yellow grip. It matches. But for string I prefer white because it just look nice. However, if I need to choose a color, I will match it with the grip color...ha ha.
Hmm....Now I noticed.... I use Lavender BG65 on my NS8000 and I'd say, about 80% of the time, I do sweet-spot smashes. Also, I've got a ArcSaber 10 with Neon Yellow BG80, and 90% of the time, i do sweet-spot smashes. I think somehow brighter color allows you to aim better? Just my personal opinions.... and to eddiemon, awesome combo color with the Arc 10...but NBG series are just too pro for me....
Arr, I love digging up old stuff. I strung up 4 rackets 3 weeks ago. 2 BG66 gold, 2 BG66 silver on of each type on 2 pairs of identical rackets at 29x31 2PTD. The silver is now noticeably softer than the gold. I'd be interesting if someone with textile and dyes credentials can shed some concrete info on this.
I like white as it goes with my AT900T... Sliver would also look good with the racket but i'll stick to white =)
