On Sony vs. PSH, many people predicted favoring for Sony. But I have doubt as their predictions are not based on recent stats between them. Sony is an excellent player but strangely he used to lose to PSH. But the problem with PSH is that he has missed some international tourneys recently because of his military training with JJS; he might need some more time to return to his original sense of play.

Anyhow, for this match, it would be half and half. If Sony can show his sharpness as he did last year, he will easily beat PSH. But if not, the game will be likely extended to the rubber set. Enjoy! :)

Coach Sigit will not want to risk a half-fit Markis Kido to face the Korean, which means that Hendra will not be allowed to roam freely upfront. I think fielding Hendra/Ahsan is a wise decision. INA is aiming to take the pts from XD, MS, and WS; while harbouring some hope to win the MD also.

I was hoping it would be Simon against Park. Park wins matches by grinding his opponents down, which is why he was able to beat tactically superior opposition. Sony's physique might not be able to handle that, the last super long match they had made Sony walk with a limp for days.

And yes, the decision to not play Kido (for INA MD) and Chin Eei Hui (for MAS WD) is probably prudent given that the World Championships is not far away. For INA WS, I told copadh that either Maria or Firda could take HHY or KMI out. Whether or not Firda's mind is up to it is a different matter.

I would move for INA to try and gamble Greys with Lily in WD though, if WD is last match. If the score is at 2-2 after 4 matches, this is worth a try. However, if WD is the first match, then better not.

WOW. What a mean thing to say. Hyde Jung? Hyo Jekyll?

Lee Hyo Jung is an exceptionally talented player. She does have good days and bad days but that goes the same for all the badminton players out there.

I like Lee Yong Dae a lot, too. He's definitely a gem/genius that would dominate the badminton xd/md games for a long time. But I feel like some people underestimate the importance/talent of LHJ. She's an olympic gold medalist and silver medalist at the same time, for God's sake!

I'm not trying to offend anybody out there but I feel like she deserves same credit as well as LYD does.

Met Simon and wished the team well during breakfast, he looked surprised to see me.

Met Gade too, seems to have recovered from his huge migraine attack.

That's contrary my expectation, I thought whatever the reason, Kido would come to the court by his decision. Anyway, that could be from some tactics from INA that a new face could change the mood as JJS/LYD must have prepared for Kido/Hendra, the old partnership.

All the best for the two countries superior in MD. :)

Greysia and Butet are more of front court player.....the pairing will have trouble generating enough offensive smash...

Besides, can the lineup be changed in a moment notice like that??
