    Surprisingly, local pair Lukasz Moren/Malgorzata Kurdelska def. Bitman/Basova [4] 16-21, 23-21, 21-12 :(

Bitman and Basova are ranked 111th, while the Poles are ranked 281st.

Trust me, don't always look at the rankings/seedings.Anyway I got confused between Harry Wright and Ben Beckman, Harry Wright isn't too bad.:)

For example, if you were to to by rankings, you would expect in the WS that a non JPN player will win. However I am 99% sure that Mitani will win, or another JPN

It may have looked good but an exiting battle it didn't seem judging by the score :D. It was so good I can't even watch it on replay? :p

That is no surprise ;). Quach losing surely is on the other hand but keep in mind he is still a junior; Pawar always looked the pick of the half anyway. Zavadsky and Abian play the same type of game, could become a looong battle. Let's see what court they wise (wo)men have in store for them(us) ...

...zZzZz... :D. Obviously one pair didn't show up ready to play ... somewhat visible in the warmups already ... figured they had warmed up after the first set  Polish pair too quick ...
And another barely watchable match on Court 3 [IMG].

Trust me, don't always be 99% sure about things ;)

I choose to ignore that clause in red, because that makes it too easy for you.

Yeah, with Koichi retiring, it will be Zavadsky and Abian, Abian will be too good though.:) Zavadsky is strange, he is quite small, but his head is quite big :p:p no offence intended.:)
Still can't believe Quach lost, he might be a junior but I am pretty sure he has more quality than Wright

Seems many upsets in WS, 4 qualifiers with 3 of them are Japanese players advanced into QF.

Just great, I see Alzbeta Basova is out of the tournament completely now.

    Bruce/Li (Bruce Lee?) def. Basova/Havlova 21-15, 21-15 yesterday.

Also, the Poles are pulling some CHN-type stuff: Cwalina and Logosz [2] def. their countrymen Dziolko/Szymoniak through a walkover :D:D:p
