It's always nice to help the mods identify threads that may be in the wrong place or spam. Gets the forum clean and organized. :D

Mods to identify threads that may be in the wrong place

    .
Actually, our BadmintonCentral is not quite that organised. But we cannot blame our mods. :):):)

This is because so many BCers (including myself) like to start threads to talk about our top players, like; Lee Chong Wei, Lin Dan, Taufik Hidayat, etc, etc,......

We find threads about them (top players) everywhere in different discussion forums.

any ideas to make it more organized?
    when we close threads, complain.
when we let more threads, complain.
    when we keep silence, complain.
when we sound it out, complain.
this is a discussion forum. we do love more discussions. but, please do it in civilized-adult way. finger pointing on any member is a no no too.

There is not much moderators and regular BCers can do.

Our BC thread starters need to be more familiar with the layout of our discussion forums.

Then what do you think they should do? What you meant by not much? Everyone can make a single change here.

    We are going off-topic

We are going off-topic (from spam - what BCers should do, to ideas to make BC more organised).

What I said (in my previous post) was; we BC thread starters need to be more familiar with the layout of our discussion forums before we start a thread in a wrong forum. There was nothing criticising BC admin/moderators.

just a reminder. if you see spam or any inappropriate postings in BC, click the report button (the triangle with a !) in it and let us know.

do no reply to the spam or the troll. if you do that, that means not only do we need to delete the spam, we also need to delete your reply. it doubles the amount of work for the moderators.

Do not reply to the spam

    .
    Thanks kwun for the reminder.

I was shocked with our new member's posts (to troll us).

I guess it is best for us to just report his/her post(s), than to reply to him/her.:eek::eek:

Hope that you are correct. :):):)

I have subscribed to more that 2,000 threads at BC now.

Many a times, I have been informed of a new post has been made in a thread; But when I click on to read, the post has been removed.

This shows that spammers are still quite active. :(:(:(

Just watch out what they have posted. ;););)

In some threads, the spammers' posts have nothing to do with the thread's title.
