got ur idea.Sometimes,u got to realize Misbun is no God.He didnt acted like one.
He did his best,I suppose. No one would stay with hafiz for 5 years and bear the condemnations with him.Tell me,he did it or not?
Chong Wei succeeded with the help of a good coach however, the ultimate reason of his num 1 title is the man inside Lee Chong Wei.A good player + a good coach.Good combination?i'd say yes.

Interesting to read the comments 1.5 years down the road, OneToughB, your thoughts really came true, Wong TM now training BJSS players ;);):D.

And LCW + Misbun has proven to be a successful partnership in the form of an OG silver medal (& 2 Datuks):p

    LCW + Misbun combination

I read this thread from start 31-3-07 until the last one, a lot of you still have doubts whether this combination is good or not.
As I write now LCW is still no.1 and this is more important achievement as a career (LCW) and as a coach (Misbun). Who in the world can produce that?

The game of badminton has change a lot these days and both of them knows exactly what they need to do - its not only about more aggressiveness, more power, no stroke .... all these are amateur players tactics.

The real ball game is in between the both of them and we just have to share their ups and downs....

I just cannot believe reading posts saying that 'LCW+Misbun' combination is poor

    .
If what is quoted is correct, then all other player-coach combinations (worldwide) are poorer than this 'LCW+Misbun' combination. LCW has maintained his No.1 World Ranking position for long now. It cannot be said that this combination is poor.
    .
Agree with your comments pBmMalaysia. I just cannot believe reading posts saying that 'LCW+Misbun' combination is poor, when LCW is still maintaining his No.1 World Ranking position for such a long time. It really puzzles me.:confused::confused:

    being no.1

that's a very good question and i am sure a lot out there would want to know!

if you are in business would you be happy making and counting money or risk what you have by pushing your very limit to win the richest guy title?

if you do, then you can still continue asking that question again & again as it will or it will never happen! it's just a matter of time.. ;)

Since it is about money, who do you think makes more $$? LD or LCW?

Well, certainly not LCW because despite being injured/exhausted, he went to Singapore for shopping instead of resting and recovering at home.

In summary, you can pair LCW with God as his coach, LCW still wont win a major tourney. Why? Because the lad is mentally weak.

Its like taking our Proton Waja to the North American market and try to gain a foothold there.

Merry Xmas and have a boleh day.

99.99% of player+coach's combinations around the world are BIG time failures

    .
    Yes, agree here.

According to how our conversations are going on here, can say almost ALL player+coach's combinations (around the world) are BIG time failures. :D:D:D
