Albert Park Badminton Club is playing at the same time as CCC Badminton Club . Just a reminder: On the same (Wednesday) night, APBC, Albert Park Badminton Club, our sister club, is playing on different courts (Court No.1 to 4). They do not have a 'Booking List'; They use the 'First come, first serve' basis. They set their maximum number of players to 36 players. If you are the 37th player to arrive, you will be sent home. CCC Badminton Club sets our maximum number of players to 18 players; Nobody gets sent home if you arrive late, if having booked in. However, if you are booked in but later couldn't attend, you will be charged the session fee (for preventing other CCCers to attend). Other differences are; * Albert Park Badminton Club plays to 10:00pm; CCC Badminton Club plays to 11:00pm. * Albert Park Badminton Club organisers arrange matches for players (playing socially); CCC Badminton Club has a mini competition (our players follow our 'CCC Social Challenge Matches). For new BCers wondering how we arrange our 'CCC Social Challenge Matches, we shall post it below; Our "CCC Social Challenge Matches": The terms used and the schedule are; 1. Terms used: 1.1 Qualification Match = Your first match. 1.2 Challenge Matches = Your later matches. 1.3 Schedule Match = Your next match, after players waiting before you have played. 2. Schedule of our Matches: 2.1 Before starting, first find a partner. For players looking for partners, please don't be shy to post in this thread asking for partners. We now have a Partnership List at the bottom of the Booking List. 2.2 If no partner is found/absent, then see chris-ccc. 2.3 With set (limited) number of participants, we should have a quick turn-over of matches. Therefore, warm-up hits are only permitted for Qualification Matches; There shall be no warm-up for Challenge Matches. 2.4 After your Qualification Matches, there should be winners and losers awaiting to play in the next scheduled match (the Challenge Match). As scheduled and when players enter onto the court, the 4 players may exchange partners if they wish (in other words only amongst the 4 winners, or only amongst the 4 losers). If a winner is to partner a loser, we don't know how to name your pair (as a winning or a losing pair). 2.5 The shuttlecock being placed under the net in the middle of the court is for the next scheduled match 2.6 Court No.10 is used for losers' Challenge Matches. 2.7 Court No.11 is used for winners' Challenge Matches. 2.8 After your match, please remember to place a shuttlecock under the net in the middle of the court for the next scheduled match. .
CCC has a system to not to offend weaker pairs/players . You are trying to play as how you like to do it (with your friends). But CCC has a system as to not to offend weaker pairs/players. Please realise the difference in our opinions. .
CCC is a registered club (with stated rules to follow) . Clubs usually have rules to follow, because paying members wish to know how the club is run. I am here to inform our CCC visitors. Casual group of players usually don't have rules to follow; It's because they are an informal group of friends (with no membership necessary) playing together. CCC is a registered club. Therefore, we need to state and follow our club's rules. .

Our CCCer, Eddie-Y, is also coaching at the same school with me. . By the way, when I went to conduct coaching at school yesterday (Tue 05-Feb-2013), I found our CCCer, Eddie-Y, was also coaching there (but for a different team). It's great to find Eddie having a coaching job there too. .
