I got the red stencil ink from TennisPlaza.com and it appears that, while it is better than using a permanent marker, it affects the performance of the string. I noticed that the string became a little stiffer/harder as a result of the ink, and on top of that it broke much quicker (1 week instead of the usual 2-3 weeks, broke in the center). I wonder if using a different brand (i.e. Yonex) would correct the durability issue since I'm sure Yonex has a special formulation that is a bit more gentle on their thin strings. Or perhaps higher tension strings are more affected by non-Yonex stencil ink? I'm stringing at 28x31 for practice and drop it down to 26x28 for tournaments with BG-66.
Which ink last the longest?!? I have been trying a lot of different brand of ink and most only last 1 - 2 hours on court, which is terrible Normal I will use black yonex ink and they seems the best, but Yonex only have balck and red, I'm looking to get white and blue ink, have anyone tried any brand that will last for a good period of time?? Thanks guys
my first attempt so i kept it simple, i just used the cheapest ink i could find at courtside sports online. got the stencil online and cut into old old x-ray film before transferring onto racket the stencil should last forever. cory
Hi folks.... Well New Li-ning Racquet arrived and there was a stencil in the package. So if anyone wants it I will scan it and save as a pdf and send it to anyone who wants it. I have spent a bit of time cutting out stencils... The favourite being Playboy bunny and Mudflap girl. I even spent an hour cutting out an iconic image of Che Guevera but you don't see enough detail. Smiley faces are always popular but everyone always wants a different type of smiley face. I only use racquet stencil ink never permanent markers... Another popular stencil I made a bullseye target red in the centre and black on the outside.... Was nice to see how little black ink markers were on the shuttle after a nights play.
