I tried the vh1800. Isn't it hard to feel the shuttle or am I not used to it? I mishit a lot when defending.

hi all, i would like to know some feedback on tantrum 200.

which high end racket of APACS that you all would advise me to buy?
    (for attacking style)

    VH1700? VH1800? Tantrum 200? or Nano range?

Actually depends on how offensive you are and how stiff can you tolerate.

Lethal 60 is head heavy and stiffer than Lethal 50, hence produce a more powerful smash compared to Lethal 50.

P/s - Just bought Lethal 50 & Tantrum 200 last week, compared them against my Lethal 60 =D

So, how will you rate all the 3 rackets from the standpoint of an attacking player?

just bought my second apacs a few days back.
was actually looking for a light racket.
the shop intro me to buy apacs 722, nice and light.
then kepoh around and found an edgesaber 9!
okay the overall look great and cheerie but the thing i like most was its balance (for me).
it just feels so right when i hold it...solid and balanced.
couldn't decide between the 722 and ES9...but finally bought the ES9 after much thinking :p

    any comments about it?

Woohoo, just got my first Apacs racket, the Visible Hollow 1800 strung at 23lbs with Bg-80. Been using cheap 50 dollar Head rackets, from Sportchek only so far haha. Hope to feel a major difference in quality and feel.

Got a question, for others that own the VH1800, does the plastic filler on the top of the shaft come loose and move when you swing? Mine inches up and eventually falls off

i own an e/s 9. as u said it is light, balanced, and looked easy on the eye. but it is designed for the ladies'. the maker had marked e/s 9 with "love" symbols to depict its suitability for women players. still, i like it for a balanced game. if u r playing at an advanced level game, u will find it a bit of struggle from the back court, and weaker power smashes. nonetheless it is a fun racket to play skillful shots. u can get a new one strung at rm159 a pop.

gosen string at 24lbs, the guy that said it is his special "double repulse" stringing style. have no idea what it is all about haven't tested it yet, tomorrow going to the rubber court near GAB to try :D

the next slurpy thing i wanna get is the limited edition edge saber 10

I've got a mild cold, so not performing to its best yet. And it takes a small amount of time to getting used switching from my AMP90 to the Tantrum 200. Although at first look, I can say that the quality of both rackets are very good. The paint is immaculate, balance well. The Lethal 60 is Extra Stiff, whereas Tantrum 200 is Medium Flex. Both frames design are the same, the Lethal 60 shows a hollow entrance at the T joint to show the double shaft feature.

Both rackets hold itself well. I have Lethal 60 strung at 22/24lbs and Tantrum 200 at 24/26lbs. The string needs some breaking in as well. Review again later.

There is no double shaft for Lethal 60. I bought one recently. Strung with BG80 at 28lbs.

How do you judge the stiffness? Seems ok to me switching from a Carbonex 21SP.

Yeah, that solved my doubt, thought there were no double shaft because it was hollow.

The racket itself doesn't show its stiffness, but comparing to Tantrum 200 (flex 7.5-8) and AMP90 8.5, the Nano 900 , The Lethal 60 is definitely stiffer than these rackets, therefore I assume it's at least 9.

If I am not mistaken, the lower the number, the stiffer the shaft. Eg, 7.5>8.0> 9.0. Can anyone confirm this?

for me Apacs VHS 1700 is the best for me~!!!

head a bit heavy, easy for me to smash. Actually it's depend on how u judge the rackets and which 1 suit u more. All u need to know is analysis ur strength and look for the best rackets out there~ :D
