Frankly, the red thing to me resembles an aging wolf more than a dragon at first glance. Then, reckon next year will be the Year of the Dragon...make sense to put a (supposedly) fiery-looking dragon. Well, it can be mistaken for tassels BUT I am getting one so I will not say any more. The racing stripes thing looks like a Bimmer (M Series). As for the attempt at being hip, I thought the same too BUT I like to have one, so what's for me to say?
Haha, yes I had seen it on the bag and it made no sense to me at all to put a dragon on there. I guess year of the dragon would be a good explanation but seeing as it is a London 2012 edition why not the GB lion ... Hmmm . Since the other half of Victor is German or something a bimmer edition would be nice actually
GB lion? It has to be 3 lions then. Probably, the way the lettering looks is really a replication of the Parkour (Jump London/Jump Britain) modernist take at it just like the attempt at pseudo-modernist 2012 official graphics theme. ...and Victor is now mostly Twn made nowadays for newly rolled out models, so the designers can't help but put the dragon (or is it aging wolf?) motif. Hey! The colour scheme of that bimmer is a lot like the Ldn 2012 racquet. That bimmer must be sweet at the straight, wonder how it does at the bends?
The racket design reminds me of sailor moon... It works really well on the Bimmer though. Anyone know how many pieces are to be produced?
Yes why not just use the same font as London 2012 (though it's probably custom). As it is it looked okay/acceptable on the shaft (white on white) but then they had to replicate it on the frame as well Here is the GB Lion logo (but they'd have to pay license fees to use it, but similar shouldn't be that hard to design): Kinda like the Dutch Soccer Association
I praise highly graphic designers who creates graphic designs in black on white or white on black. It's like the way wedding dresses are constructed/built rather than made/tailored, ahh, you know what I mean (not being snobbish here). P.S. Dutch emblem got the crown, the Union-Jacked GB team logo doesn't.
Totally agree on this one, but the rest of the racket colors and paintings is very attractive. So what is this racket based on? Or is it a new racket?
Victor MX-2012 London (Meteor X2012) Here it is. The MX 2012 we've been waiting for (victorsport.com.tw) (All rights reserved for VICTOR RACKETS IND. CORP.) HH ○●○○○ HL S ○●○○○ F These specifications seem to be very populary this year?
i think they wanted to put in elements of the union jack into the design. given that, the color scheme and design does make some sense. however, overall, i think the MX80 still looks better.
A happy coincidence that the KOR flag has the same colours as the Union Jack. I hereby bet £1 that no pro player will use this racket.
So any improvements or is it a paint job? It's the same specs as MX70. HH ○●○○○ HL S ○●○○○ F The MX80 is HH ○●○○○ HL S ●○○○○ F If it's the same as MX70...I guess I might get it since I don't have a MX70 yet
well it should play feel slightly different to the mx70 the mx london contains new tech called the "hybrid composite" . http://www.victorsport.com/skill_content.php?id=g4o1k7LZx9OFThZn1uzq3I0t6qZHe
