With a line up of Persson, Jorgensen, Boe/Mogensen? Look at the way Perssson and Jorgensen were beaten by the Korean today, I'm afraid they will be dropped to group 2 after the next TC.

Denmark will have to go through a rebuilding phase. Yes, some young potential MS players are waiting in the wings but, it'll be too soon for them in 2010

    The Danes..

...better start playing and sending all of their younger players starting this yr, even before the Olympics. If not, i'm afraid we'll be watching JR, LP, PG, KJ, MLH, JE in the TC, in 2 more yrs...:p

2010 is too early to see any progress, we're definitely looking at 2012 or even 2014.

In all fairness young Jan O. Jørgensen was apparently playing with an injury, so don't put too much in his loss to the korean. I think Jan O. has some serious potential. I don't believe same goes for Persson... but ok he was up against one of the best players of today.

    Yep..

...JE and MLH should be a coach now, coaching the likes of Jan O. J., like Rexy......rather than still playing competitively with all the young jumping beans...:p

if this is any indication of their health and fitness, then they will definately not make an impact at the OGs, and likely will disappear into the sunset if you will...maybe then JR can be an admin/moderater full time at BC! lol...

They have managed to enter finals for the past 2 editions and their performance has dropped significantly. So sad to see great players like PG, ML/JE, JR/LP/, JK to fade away...

when it was Denmark vs Korea, why didn't Denmark send out their stronger players? like ML/JE? or even JK?
was the match fixed or random? i don't understand.

    Jan O J is a very funny players...:D:D
During his match with SSM at TC, at the point of 11-20, he thought the games was over and started to pack his bag to switch court and get ready for the 2nd game:eek: So many crowds found him was funny, the way he gestured during the match make ppl laugh:p
BTW, I heard that he emerged frm the badminton acadmedy which set-up by Peter Gade in denmark, can some one confirm this:confused:
I think many juniors players will embarked frm that academy pretty soon after OG08... Lets see...;)

i was wondering why the veterans ML/JE werent be fielded during the clash with korea too. I think they able to handle LJJ/HJM in MD2 and clinch the winning points for the Danes.... The whole situation would be different

Certainly Denmark still can be competitive with these veterans but to win any major titles are quite unreachable. I am sure effort is there to bring out the fresh blood, just like Malaysia, but the results have been quite disappointed so far. However, Denmark mostly still can qualify the TC final round, just have to play tricks on the lineup putting Jonassen and Peter on MS2 and MS3.
Denmark and Indonesia are experiencing the sunset and if no quick remedy then the sun will not rise again.
