Just a little help . Perhaps, I shall leave this thread for good. It looks like some BCers want to shut me up. .
What happened to post #121. Oh btw, it should be : My English is not (very) good. Hehe...just teasing you, since you are asking about your English in every thread.
Folklore from CBA - TXH and the ballot-box .. I wonder if TXH's part in the formation of the explosively potent MD combination of FHF/CY is common knowledge? Anyway, let me share... Apparently, Fu Huaifeng started off life in badminton as a left-handed singles player for Guangdong province back in 2002. Back then the CBA bosses were going crazy trying to get their MD options in line since it left a gaping hole in their plans for total world domination ("poetic" license used here) and desperate desire to wrest the TC away from those pesky Indonesians. So the Guangdong team honchos promptly tell him to team up with the nearest available guy (license rears it's head again) and play MD, and soon FHF (and partner) makes it to the runner-up at the Nationals. Enter TXH, put in charge of Project MD, and a big sweep (as in new broom) is on the cards, and they call all men (singles, doubles) to make themselves available for selection. Sadly, WXL could not make it then, but that is another story... (that license again.) TXH gets all the guys to secretly write down the names of their favourite partners. FHF writes down the names of 2 of his favourite Guangdong partners, and CY just manages to squeak in as name No. 3. Cai Yun writes down just one name: FHF. (Some jaundiced people claim it's only because CY writes very slowly.) (license...) The rest, as they say, is history. Most of history is made up of simple events such as these. But it requires a clear mind to allow the events to transpire. TXH's was such a mind: uncluttered by rubbish, confident of the value of it's knowledge and strong of purpose.
TXH will coach LCW http://www.thestar.com.my/Sport/Badminton/2013/09/27/Chong-Wei-to-get-tips-from-The-Thing.aspx
2013 China League coach . This is good news. TXH can be a great coach to help improve LCW's confidence and in his tactical play. Let's see how different LCW will play at this 2013 China League. .
I got a shock when you said this, because LYB and LD will not have it! LCW is trying to get tips from the master at the sidelines of the China League. Of course this is different from formal coaching. But LD better watch out ... haha
For a player of Lee CW's calibre, he doesn't need any coaching, just some pointers from a great master is all that is required to make a world of difference. Indeed, China appreciates all foreign talents, and I'm only talking about badminton here, and Chinese people treat and respect them very well. As we know, apart from Lee CW,players like Taufik Hidayat, Peter Gade, for example, are highly regarded and with sizable fan base in China. In the Chinese media and among sport commentators, I often come across articles and hear of commentaries praising the foreign players, such as paying tributes to TH, PG and Tine Baun when they retired and complimenting others like Intanon Ratchanok, P V Sindhu, Juliane Schenk, just to name a few. Even someone like Gillian Clark is recognized on the streets, in taxis, whenever she goes to China as she herself admitted.
BTW what happened to cobalt? Haven't heard from him for a while, especially in the recent tournament threads?
If there's one thing that LCW can learn from Tang, it's mental toughness. That is the only thing that separates him from LD.
I am betting that LCW will beat in LD in league, partly due to Tang, partly due to his greater hungriness. As to whether LCW can beat LD in major final is a different matter. Nerve and pressure will play a part.
Perhaps he's enjoying his weekend vacation somewhere? For further clarification, we can directly ask for da man's attention here. cobalt, where are thou?
