Which club is Julia Wong playing for these days? Shame she was injured at the most inappropriate time when she was starting to climb the rankings.

She's on a bit of a spurt, from 8-17 to 12-17. Too late?

BAM dropped him probably because he never showed any fighting spirit at all during the Thomas Cup. At least Daren had given good fight to Tago Kenichi, Chan Yan Kit before succumbing. But Arif lost with single figures to Hong Ji Hoon and Tommy Sugiarto. Arif wouldn't even have made it on merit following his poor results. I don't know why is he wallowing in self-pity when Daren went to the All-England/Swiss and started complaining. He should focus on his own game and think of ways on how to improve... no improvement in Axiata Cup, now getting worse and worse...

Like you said, he might leave to be independent but it is sad how a talented youngster could come to such a sad end if that happens.

i think arif should think of the reason why he is not selected for TC squad and start to improve on his games rather than always think that he is better than liew daren without proving himself.

He probably thinks that he is the same if not better than Liew Daren because he has always beaten Daren easily every time they went up against each other...

Good effort by Bellaetrix Manuputty as she beat Salakjit Ponsana in straight-sets 21-18, 21-19. Meanwhile Aprilia Yuswandari beat Mong Kwan Yi in 3-sets. Bella will face Chan Tsz Ka [3], while April will face another HKG player Ngan Yi Cheung for 2 spots in the last 8.

The 2 INA XD pairs also advance with Riky Widianto/Richi Dili Puspita taking on Wong Wai Hong/Chau Hoi Wah [3] and Irfan Fadhilah/Weni Anggraini facing Tan Aik Quan/Lai Pei Jing [4].

In MS, Evert Sukamta will entertain Sai Praneeth B. while Goh Soon Huat faces Shesar Hiren Rhustavito. Tommy Sugiarto [3] will also begin his campaign against Park Sung Min and Sony Dwi Kuncoro will face Huang Chao.

Only MD matches left for today.
