It's a new Voltric for sure judging from the markings. The head shape is a bit strange - not as 'optimetric' as the Z-Slash, and strung up very high. Guessing the concept is to move the sweetspot up to allow players to take the shuttle just that millisecond earlier. A higher sweetspot too means greater leverage for smashes. Hows that for a fair guess, Ants?
The racket shape sure is quite strange, can't quite figure what it's meant to be... Let's are how much confidence LCW has it in, we'll find out tomorrow if he uses it vs Lin Dan or not...
LCW doesn't play well in the current Korean Open. Well, it could be because of his new weapons. I think he need to get used to it.
From what I am watching LCW isn't playing his best neither is other players like Lin Dan from R1-QF he has been playing a full 3 game matches, on the bwf youtube channel Gillian Clark has been saying that the hall the players are playing is slow and cold. It has been snowing in Korea lately. Reading from Paul Stewart Facebook site apparently this could be a new Voltric. I think the paint job is really plain and looks horrible, YY should put a bit of colour on it.
Yes, the string pattern looks like DX or Z-slash. The head seems a regular size, not a compact head. I am guessing DX frame. I agree. The head seems more square than other yonex isometric head. To me, the design seems like one of arc saber series, because all the arc saber has Nano tubes on 9o'clock and 3o'clock. Voltric would emphasize triangle sound filter, but many VT series also has a different color on 12 o'clock... I am guessing it can be a new VT DX, or Arc Saber DX, or combined two of that... --a
Not that it matters what LCW was playing with this week, he's struggled too much with the shitty Korean stadiums' slow conditions. No chance against LD tonight.
