China are the only ones that bid for it with a good amount of prize money. No other country bids to host it with the money they offer.

Therefore without them, it wouldn't happen. So it is a good statement

They have a super series title to their name, one more than any Indian player has apart from Saina

Stop finding faults with everything, you wouldn't stand a chance either

The players will get fined USD5,000 if they dont show up. Even then, I'm surprised with the high number of walkovers, I thought some of the playrs/pairs would want go fat in SS Finals, for the ranking points & $$$$. Kim/Kim retired, so could be due to injury. Then Yoo/Jang and Eom/Jang also gave walkover, odd.
    After OG effects maybe??

Still you are missing something.. Superseries finals will be conducted even when China did not take part in bid..:) This is not a local tournament which will be stopped as such when china did not take part in bid.Lol.:D BWF will definitely find a way even when no other country is taking part in the bid.. Lol.. :)

Yes, but with less prize money. That's the point. Without the prize money being good, what's the point in having the tournament

Actually scorpion, 1st 2 years or so nobody bid or stuff like that, BWF asked Msia to host it as its HQ is in Msia. Prize money, if not mistaken from Yonex & others, BWF found the sponsors. It's hard, but yeah, it's BWF responsibility to find a way no matter what since they are organising it

If someone bids to offer more money than china, then they'll hold it elsewhere. Otherwise, why would you give it to somewhere offering less money? That wouldn't make sense.

Anyway at least there is a good crowd, unlike at some other Super Series tournament held earlier this year... Can't even give seats away...

LD rules, calm down lah. This scorpion dunno what happen previously, where no country want to host initially. Msia like forced to host 2 times, then they said no more, tak boleh. ;) Main point is even if no country bid, BWF have to hold it somewhere & get the prize money ready.

Having said that, I was hoping this year more exciting performances from the younger players/pairs like Kim/Kim, Rat ,etc. They would want to prove themselves, but suddenly Kim/Kim retired from their matchn along with the Korea XD & WD pairs, hiyaaa.
