I think TTY's chances are pretty good against Hirose although the latter will be boosted by home support. This was evident as Hirose was impressive against Porntip.

Congrats to Typhoon for winning her first SS in Japan. It might have been a different story if the entire China contingent has not pulled out because of political disturbances.

She showed a lot of grit and bounced back despite being trounced in G1. Fiercely determined she returned the compliments by shelling Hirose 21-9 to set up the rubber. And still very much with her first major win in mind, she left no doubt who was the master in the decider and conceded only 14 points to Hirose.

Much to Hirose's credit, she fought hard for every point supported continuously by her ardent fans with unison chants. But Tai was in her elements in the final game and was often quicker at the net. Coupled with her deceptive strokes that caught Hirose on the wrong foot often enough, Tai left no delusion as to who would emerge the champion.

I like a slimmer Tai with short hair neatly bundled at the end. But I hope she will discard her seemingly "heavy" earrings, especially the one that hangs on her right ear. Change for something simpler and perhaps more colorful to avoid possible injury. She also seemed to be bothered by her Victor shirt with sleeves. A sleeveless T will suit her better.

Hope to see more of the Typhoon in action.

She didnt, because Eriko was still stunned when the shuttle was called in which was a winning point for Taiphoon. She restrained herself from celebrating too much out of respect for Eriko and the crowd. She did raise her hand quickly in apology before shaking hands with her opponent. Anyways, congratulation! First SS title!

    eventhought she won the title.
she will only move up one rung to 11th(her personal best) in the world ranking.
if she won the chinese taipei gp gold, then she might have a chance to break into top ten.

It looked more like she didn't celebrate due to the uncertainty of whether the shuttle had landed in or not. Even though it was called in, there could have been an overrule which was the case in the previous point.
