Our girls at Caulfield Grammar School are the APS champions . Some CCCers asked me how are our girls at Caulfield Grammar School performing at the Inter-School Matches conducted by APS (Associated Public Schools) of Victoria. We have good news. Today, we have won the premiership. Our girls at Caulfield Grammar School are the champions. Congrats Chris! Btw, I think the total players in list changed to 18 from 16 somehow! We have Max 16 players.
I think we should stick to 16. Because 18 players means we will have odd number of teams - 9 team/pair. That's mean we will have either 3 teams waiting at the winner court or loser court instead of the usual 2 teams.

How do we deal with unforeseen late withdrawals? . As we have discussed before, setting to a maximum of 16 players (8 pairs) is the best. However, we are not running as smooth as we wanted to. As most of you know, many a times, we had players who have booked in but were absent (withdrew without giving others enough time to attend), for example; * On Wed 29-Feb-2012: Leonard-W * On Wed 07-Mar-2012: Frank-C * On Wed 21-Mar-2012: Alex-T I posted about this in Post #6969; and in Post #6912; On Wed 29-Feb-2012 and Wed 07-Mar-2012, I managed to play only a few games (because we had odd number of players). On Wed 21-Mar-2012, still with odd number of players, I thought I would not missed out like previous weeks - therefore, I partnered with 2 different players, Lisa-L and Stanley-C. This time, I was playing too much. Any CCCers having any suggestions, please post them here. The question is - "How do we deal with unforeseen late withdrawals - and having CCCers late in booking in, getting to miss out?" It's not only about players missing out on games, but it is also about our tight budget (to balance our income-vs-expense equation). If our income is from 18 players, then our balance sheet won't be in the red. Or perhaps, CCCers who have booked in MUST pay the fees whether they are attending or not (It's the absentee's fault). .

BTW, these were our attendances; * Wed 29-Feb-2012: 15 players * Wed 07-Mar-2012: 13 players * Wed 21-Mar-2012: 15 players We didn't get our intended number of 16 players (because of very late withdrawals). That is why our balance sheet is in the RED. If we set our limit to 18 players, we could be sure to have at least 16 players attending most of the time. .

Preference would be given to CCC members . I attended the Wesley Badminton Club session last night (Monday 26-Mar-2012) and it was over-crowded. Wesley Badminton Club do not have a Booking In List. Their committee members told me that preference would be given to club members (where I am a member). I am thinking of a way to do the same for our CCC members for our CCC Badminton Club. It's not easy, but I am thinking on how to do it. .
I am thinking how about keep the maximum ppl to 16. But reduce the court to 1 court during the 10:30pm to 11:00pm period? Because during that time, 40% ppl already gone back and sometime msac might forget to switch off the light then we could have 2 courts for the period?
