I saw the judo men's 73kg gold medal match. What the winner did was very provocative and very bad manners. He deliberately stood astride over his fallen opponent and raised/stretched his arms out in victory. Totally disrespectful. Badminton goes nowhere near this.

do you guyz notice that their performance each time on court is more less or similar to a kickboxing match we so used to watching on tv .

No offence to the boxers, but each time this pair is playing they will try to move around the corners and confuse their opponents as if they were looking to get the final punch in a boxing match that is so effective.

I guess this pair is just used to watching their fellow countrymen fighting in the boxing ring and replicating it onto the badminton court. You have to agree that it's worked so far.... :D

I really like their style, it's entertaining to watch. But very un-moral behavior , LOL.

If you think about it, badminton is also sort of a martial arts sport with defence being the strong point along with attack and intimidating your opponent in the ring, only here it's done with shuttle cocks , haha.

How nice that the Thailand MD have been focused here.
Thanks for all the honest say. I agree to almost all.
They do over reacting with shout. However, they do them less.
Perhaps they are too young & put their hope too high.
Hope this spice up the game to some who seek a kind of more exciting games.

As seen in Thailand TV broadcasting, Maneepong was playing in badminton courts in Phuket since he was a young boy, or perhaps before having been able to speak -- this was because his mom has drink stall there. Living without father, his mother is the whole world to him, and Maneepong said "Any medal from London 2012 for his mom".

Wish you all enjoy badminton even more due to these Thailand duo, and support them.

    : )

Bodin Issara / Maneepong Jongjit will face MAS No.1 Duo Koo Kien Keat / Tan Boon Heong in their Quarterfinal of London 2012 Olympic Campaign. As both of the pair has not encountered each other previously, the score between them is still 0 - 0. it will be a very interesting match indeed. The match will commence at 09:00 London Time, all the best for both team.

This pair, Issara and Jongjit , is exciting to watch with promise of higher achievements in the near future. So glad that Thailand has good representations in all the five disciplines and is emerging as a force nobody can or dare take lightly. Keep up the good work !

After watching a few more of their matches, I have to say Maneepong is incredibly talented at the front court. Bodin is pretty strong too, but I think it's his sliced serve that gets to opponents. They will definitely be a good pair to watch as the established ones begin to retire

Maneepong is shaping to be one of the great frontmen in the game. His anticipation is uncanny.

I think their weakness has been brutally exposed by Koo Kien Keat/Tan Boon Heong. Instead of playing the flat fast exchanges, just lift and lift and lift and lift...

^^ imo, in that match, their coach was just as much to blame for not instructing them to play smarter instead falling into KooTan's wonderfully set trap.

Haha... that match almost looked like a training session... where one side has to practice smashes and the other defensive lifts... which KooTan appear to have improved significantly. They are actually lifting all the way to the opposite corners making the poor Thai boys run back and forth between both rear corners so much that I think Issara was out of breath after only 3 points! :)

I think he does not have the energy already to shout at that match, george. Being drained by our favorite Koo-Tan.

demolidor on the other thread mentioned that Bodin Issara used NR800. From VTZF to NR800, dramatic change.
